Mr swamy is already very old, I really feel bad that we haven't utilized his abilities, we haven't respected his talents, even he has a sad look to him and I'm sure it's not because of personal ego but because he knows how to take bharat to new heights but he is being sidelined for petty stuff. Will there be such a person in india again? Is there such a person in india now? I think we've lost something very important.. Dr Swamy has many ingenious ideas to deal with India's economy, such as abolition of personal income tax, which won't be acceptable to the career politicians who know next to nothing about economics. Except Dr Manmohan Singh as FM to then PM PVN Rao, India has never had a genuine or qualified economist as the FM. FM being a powerful ministry always goes to the politically amenable politicians. That's why Modi had Jaitley as FM despite J losing the LS polls in 2014. Only personal loyalty matters to Modi else someone like Dr Swamy would make a fine FM with a long-term view. Let's hope his books inspires the powers that be in this Modi Govt to make course corrections and bring India back on the road to high growth economy.

If not for British majority of India would be under Muslim rule. Tax collection was very inefficient, it was the British who improved infrastructure and revenue collection.
