Undoubtedly Swamy is brilliant and accomplished hard core Indian. Age is against him to be in the cabinet as per the prescribed policy of NDA since 2014. Any breach to accommodate Swamy would tantamount to violation of principles causing embarrassment to both Swamy as well as NAMO. I would like to believe views of Swamy are given due weight-age as also endorsed by him whenever he approached the PM. Regarding the health of our economy, I would like to await views of reputed stalwarts like Prof Vaidyanathan, former faculty member IIMB, Sanjeev Sanyal, Mr Gurumurthy, Prof Vivek DebRoy.....to validate Swamy's perspective as we learn best when listen to others analysis objectively.

Why can't there be an open debate or brainstorming session between the one holding power on one hand and experts on the other. From a layman view, If we talk about Macro Economics and equilibrium, then it has to be both. Only to decide which comes first. I feel presently govt is trying to motivate the corporate segment & investors first and create higher rate of job opportunities, it may happen that we the people can be bestowed with some tax rebate in IT from the govt in near future too. The way lay-off are happening, more foreign investments & industries sustainability is highly required in terms of job creation for us. Nutshell basis, availability of more Jobs= Income potential + (plus possible tax relief in IT)= increased buying capacity= balanced Growth. If people are job less or face pay cut, how much benefit we can expect out of IT rebate? It is complete abolition, how to compensate the whole short fall in Govt’s exchequer? Either way it is going to affect adversely in longer run. So,Timely & Balanced action plan is the way out I guess. Holding our nerve is the key, no choice. 😊

Upa 1 did very well in the economic side even during the financial crisis..then corruption allegations came govt lost control at the end of upa2..but still managed 4.8% gdp...then modi came..they changed the way we calculate gdp..first years it showed pretty growth then it started to come down..then again they changed the way we calculate the gdp.. they addressed the crisis very late because of 'all is well' attitude..gdp came down further to 5%..previous economic advisor to modi govt aravind subramanian told the real gdp figure will be 1.5 to 2 % lesser than the current figure..so whose mistake is the current financial crisis..is it Gandhi families? Or current government's?..
