A biopic on the distinguished & legendary writer, Phanishwar Nath 'Renu'. He is regarded as the most influential and successful writer who produced the masterpiece Maila Anchal. For his contributions to Indian literature, he was awarded with Padma Shree in the year 1970.
महान आंचलिक उपन्यासकार, साहित्यकार, कथाकार फणीश्वरनाथ रेणु पर आधारित यह वृत्तचित्र (डॉक्यूमेंट्री) उनके जीवन के सम्पूर्ण छुए-अनछुए पहलुओं को उजागर करता है। इस वृत्तचित्र में रेणु के तमाम रंगों को, उनके क्रांतिकारी रूप, पटकथा लेखन (फ़िल्म-तीसरी कसम की कहानी रेणु ने लिखी थी) और अन्य पहलुओं को बेहद संजीदगी और विस्तार से दिखाया गया है।

अभी तक राज्य सभा टेलीविजन पर यह श्रृंखला उनकी नज़र उनका शहर के नाम से जानी जाती थी । अब इस श्रृंखला का विस्तार करते हुए इसे विरासत के नाम से शुरू किया गया है । इस कड़ी में पहला शो ज़ोहरा सहगल पर है । कृपया अब विरासत के नाम से इस शो को देखें । उनकी नज़र उनका शहर श्रृंखला के सभी शो यू ट्यूब पर उपलब्ध हैं ।

फणीश्वरनाथ रेणु ...आंचलिक कहानियों के बेजोड़ कथाकार ।परंतु वे भारतीय आजादी के संघर्ष में सक्रिय कार्यकर्ता थे,ये पहली बार मालूम हुआ।उनके जीवन के अन्य पहलूओं की जानकारी के लिए धन्यवाद...।

Wonderful work . An amazing documentary. Had to shift from Bihar to Singapore in search of job. Living here for more than a Decade still Bihari from heart. I feel proud to say that I belong to such a place ; our BIHAR. KUdos Rajyasabha Television. Special thanks to Anant Sinha.

its an amazing episode made by ritu kumar ji , who were deeply involed during this shoot , i did also enjoyed a lot during the shoot , it was amazing for me to play the renu ji character , thanks all of you who watched this episode

Renu Jee was a great literary figure of Hindi.I also belong to the same district to which belonged that is Araria,vil-Aurahi-Hingna in Bihar.He was a writer of the happening of our society without using polish.

Very nice documentary. Sad to see someone who was such a staunch believer in the top Congress leaders of the freedom movement get so disillusioned by the time of the Emergency.
