With the first Hunter Mission being a success, the party decides to take another detour and explore the wreckage just east of Aiedo. Inside, they find various items and eventually discover a computer terminal, which Rika decodes.
The information in the terminal explains how the Parmenian civilization escaped Parma (the planet in Phantasy Star 2) before the planet's destruction some 1000 years ago. The remnants traveled in giant bio-sphere-like space ships (Phantasy Star 3 takes place on one of these)and crash landed on different planets in the Algo Star System.
With that now known the group heads through a passage to the west of Aiedo to the zealous town of Kadary, where the people have been brainwashed by Zio.
Zio's tower is just a short stroll from Kadary so Chaz and his companions now head there to confront Zio and rescue Demi....

God the first Zio fight is terrifying. So far, you've been able to beat everything, you expect this to just be a "you're not worth the effort to finish off" from Zio once you do enough damage, followed by him fleeing, but that's not at all what happens. You only do 1 damage, regardless of the attack you use. You've seen this before with a few other enemies, you figure maybe he's impervious to certain types of attacks, so you experiment a bit- nothing hurts him at all. Just as you realize this, he uses an attack so powerful that it causes the entire screen, including the battle HUD to go black, an attack which slowly and painfully kills the second most powerful protagonist you've met yet. And you're barely halfway through the game.

Zio was a cool boss, they modeled him after Trent Reznor.

They always do the thing where someone younger always has a crush on their mentor and confuse their emotions of admiration for love. I wanted to see more between Alys and Rune though...poor Alys

No Alys!!! Strange how she kept calling for Rune. Didn't chaz have a crush on her in the beginning or something? well at least he wasn't alone at the end...poor Alys...

Ya I think Chaz had a crush on her too. If I remember correctly, there's some sort of history between Alys and Rune that isn't explained in the game. When you first meet Rune, there is a hint that something was going on between them.

Her parents were killed by bandits when she was 14; Alys herself was rescued by a Hunter named Galf. She became Galf's apprentice and soon met Rune Walsh. This trio travelled together for four years until Galf died and Rune disappeared, leaving Alys to fend for herself.

I don't know where you got the idea that this battle was going to be perfect. I'm not trying to show off or anything, these ps4 videos are more about the plot than the battles. I don't see anything wrong with being over-leveled either because I'm not trying to challenge myself. Feel free to record the battle yourself and post it as a response.

In the PSP version (Sega Mega Drive/Genesis collection) it says if you go to level 99 your power level severely drops.

That also happens in the original Genesis version, unless you hit lv 99 in a specific order. And if you do you're stronger than ever. I would never grind that out though. It would be too tedious.

When you fight zio the second time he uses black wave on you again but you don't die because you're wearing silver armor.

This is just wrong. Black wave doesn't kill you because you use the wand. If you don't use the wand it still kills you in one shot.

Why are you using Disrupt its a mass group attack should be using Double Slash!

+James Evans You are incorrect while it is the last skill she has learned, Disrupt is a muti hit attack where as double slash is a single hit attack. Its like saying airslash is more powerful then crosscut. Against a single opponent its better to use double slash since it will do more damage. Disrupt deals normal attack damage to all foes, Double slash deals double attack damage to a single foe.

What a sloppy Juza battle. You're too leveled up and use unnecessary techs/skills. Disrupt is multi-target, but weaker than Double Slash, which is powerful like Chaz's Cross Slash...also, why would you even bother using Hahn's knife when you could just use wat attacks or heal? Give Hahn/Rune/Raja double shields to boost their defense and let their magic loose instead...Sorry if this seems a bit 'holier than thou', but it brought a tear to my eye. :(
