How did The Phantom sound when doing Doors tunes? Here''s you chance! The Phantom's next band, Pendragon, existed from 1977 to 1983. They opened shows for acts diverse as Huey Lewis and the News, The Shoes . . . and Iron Maiden during their first Paul Dianno-era tour of the States.
Pendragon existed for about one year at the time of this 1978 performance in Detroit at Bentley's. A pseudo-Detroit supergroup, Arthur Pendragon previously fronted Walpurgis (the band responsible for Phantom’s Divine Comedy) on Capitol, Chris Marshall was in Third Power and White Bucks (part of the Bob Seger family tree), and Jerry Zubal was in Tea (Seger-tree, natch) and the L.A-based Rockicks, on Palladium and RSO Records, respectfully.
