Musicfanatic777z I think he says the "thank you's" "yes sirs" is because it was probably part of his upbringing. When someone refers to another as "sir" or "ma'am" usually indicates that someone was perhaps from the South or raised by someone with a Southern upbringing. He is from Virginia.

Actually check out Valentino a high end designer in the fashion industry. They have slim fitting suits that are camos but he's in shorts since hes in FL. Hes an artist and designer so he can and will come up with his own creation. I think his suit was sick.

The first half of the interview Pharrell started off shaky and unsure of himself. In the second half he started to warm up to the audience and was able to overcome his doubt. Not the best interview he's given but it wasn't bad either. Keep up the good work Pharrell, I really admire the way you're embracing your creativity.

I'm not a fan of the personalities in the Hip-hop industry, but I have true respect and admiration for Skateboard P. He seriously has a talent at adding that extra spice to a soundtrack or music video that makes it a sell out. And he works very hard.

Really. I love Pharrell as a musician, but as a designer. People have this feeling that everyone can be a designer if they want to, only cause they can find a motivation to build something. This is not design, design is solving problems, is optimizing form, is reducing costs, is approaching an object from various angles but with a goal in mind. I see no goal in a 20k dollar chair, whatever is the motivation he adds. He's just playing, not designing.

9 years later, I could say the same about sooooooooooo many 'designers'. Having spent the last 4 years in 'design', I see so much conceptual nonsense that might eventually become 'something optimised', but a 20k dollar chair is nothing compared to the spend I've seen. It might develop into something, but many brands and designers either spend that much (or convince people to fund it) that you could say that all 'known' designers are just playing.
