Why does this always happen to intelligent, highly motivated , well behaved individuals with morals ? And with no consequences to the bullies. All the bad effects including mental physical PTSD anxiety trauma, financial and career derailing happens to the victim and it simply ends their life completely including complicated family relationships due to monetary issues with no redemption available. Despite having tremendous negative effects to life including ultimately the huge possibility of suicide and self harm, why is this not being legally tackled in employment relationships? Why is it not handled in the agreements, why is bullying part of the accepted culture of the company? I've seen and experienced all of your examples especially triangulation, projection, work overload, misinformation, asked to work with zero information, being given menial tasks way below experience level, isolating, public, baseless and unfair humiliation in front of inexperienced staff.

It's the alpha bully never being challenged, humiliated or punched in the face for his or her transgressions. Why would they change when no one punishes them? Stop teaching boys to be feminine and accept them for their masculine side. They can't stand up for themselves because you are coddling them and it is a form of emotional neglect. This wouldn't be a problem in the first place if the boys were mentally healthy.

It starts from the top usually the GM has a privileged favorable manager gunning for the target that is just an experienced employee they feel is a threat to their job position. So they get rid of a GREAT employee for a BAD manager instead of just giving the employee the raise to keep up the good work. Not everyone wants to be a manager but being great is a goal everyone should set.

Yes, for some reason I notice this as a repeating pattern everywhere I go, including with my family of origin. Something deeper is going on that makes this pattern follow one wherever he/she goes. I am a strong Christian who is a typical soft spoken nice guy that really tries to live it out and I think this has a lot do with my case. Any thoughts?
@SelfcareforBodyMindSpirit
@SelfcareforBodyMindSpirit Жыл бұрын
@@bill6044 I think that having survived workplace mobbing makes us more sensitive to other cases of abuse because we cracked the pattern. Once we understand what emotional abuse is, we may be able to notice it in more places. Emotional abuse may prevent us from noticing other, more positive things. Anhedonia, or inability to experience positive emotions, is an example of that. I don't think you have done anything to make other people abuse you, it is definitely not your fault. It is commendable that you try to live out your Christianity. I would look into how you set boundaries with other people and if there is any confusion about Christian treatment of others versus having weak boundaries with people who are not emotionally safe. This thought is just a shot in the dark and it may not apply to you, use your own judgment. Also, any experience of emotional abuse is a suffering that we can bring to Christ on the Cross and offer it while knowing that Christ is with us through all of it. Christ survived emotional and physical abuse, He knows how it feels, and can guide you through recovery.

@@SelfcareforBodyMindSpiritThank you for your thoughtful comment. I just now saw it. Somehow I missed it. I apologize about that. I have been busy with school trying to work my way out of this place. The people in this mob are going out of their way to try to sabotage me in order to try to destroy my career before it even starts. I live in a small town in the midwestern US and everyone seems to know everyone. They have formed alliances with people at my internship site who I believe are working behind the scenes to destroy me. Somehow they are finding out who my clients are. I realize that talking about this makes one sound like a paranoid schizophrenic but they seem to have eyes and ears everywhere via their network of gossip and slander and essentially have me under almost constant surveillance when it comes to my activity in public. I am not completely innocent. I made mistakes years ago before I turned fully back to Christ and His narrow way of holiness. The enemy is capitalizing on this and now they are twisting everything I say and do to fit and serve their warped narrative. However, I believe the Lord is using this to discipline me, teach me, and purify me. But you are correct in inferring that I have emotional boundary issues. It has caused me a lot of problem with the opposite sex and I am a married man. They have even begun to harass my wife through social media and they message her all the time that I am doing all these unfaithful things. It’s gotten really bad. We are thinking about leaving the area when the time is right. I am interested to learn more about your experiences with emotional abuse and what you have learned from it. I plan to watch your videos on it when I find some time.

@@SelfcareforBodyMindSpirit I'm from Canada. What is your advice? Same here being bullied, mobbed, gaslighting, harassed at the hospital for over 12 years. I've happened to be the top worker for 38 years and have never been suspended. These bullies are jealous and miserable people. Union, manager, HR and the police are all totally useless. Bullies are lazy bums and stupid managers are scared of the bullies. They say about me I'm crazy, I drink, I'm a stalker all bs defamation of character. The biggest mistake since they removed disciplinary measures. They should arrest the bullies and fire the manager. Action speaks louder than nasty words. It destroyed my reputation. I will never quit to make these lazy bums ever win. If I decide to transfer to another hospital and may start gaslighting, smearing and bullying me once again, I don't know all the new managers etc. like in every department like now. So best to not change hospitals. I will never let bullies try to control me from quitting. Just don't react and not try to defend yourself which will only go back and forth making me look even more guilty. Action always speaks louder than words. Just best ignore them and find another easier target. Never let these low life lazy coward bums ever win.

It's really disturbing that people do this and it's really a trickle-down effect from poor leadership. I relate to the example of Jim having to reformat his work given unnecessary tasks unrelated to the job while not being given any direction but expected to perform at expert levels. It's baffling being criticized by leadership (especially for assignments not even part of your job) in front of peers so they think it's okay to kick you when you are down too. There is no point trying to reason with people who are unreasonable and anyone who experiences workplace mobbing deserves better for themselves. Once they wake up and realize that they are not the problem and not someone's emotional stopping ground it can help lead to the next best thing.

This has been going on with me for over a year now. There is a lot of wasted time on me. Then there are complaints that we're not getting profit sharing. Oh I don't know, could it in part be because some people waste time on a "job" that they weren't even hired there to do? I'm a good worker there and put my job above all else. For them to try and distract me there isn't just an attack on me but on the company itself. And when I'm at work, I'm very soft spoken and shy and would never flirt with anyone but they can access my phones data so in the background I've listed who I'd enjoy hanging out with outside of work. Would enjoy helping them out if you get my gist. If that's the "worst" thing I'd like to do, sorry but I don't think that's a bad thing, sounds like a nice thing to do for someone! 😋😜

Leymann also mentioned the research of Dan Olweus into child bullying in schools. Bullies have common characteristics, not targeted children, but the environment instead has an irrational focus on the targeted children. It's called attribution error of the environment (Jones). This also serves as a psychological protection, the idea that only certain people are victimized, while in reality everybody is vulnerable to it given certain conditions in a specific situation.

Your videos are the BEST resource I’ve come across and I’m so fortunate and grateful because the algorithm had it pop up but when I do a search with key words, all the super glam channels. This video was so amazing and I sent to many “friends” but very few actually listened. And consequently doing the very things you mentioned for them not to do. My therapist keeps insisting I incorporate socializing and self care but it feels forced and all I think about is work as it’s become my life. I got close to having life incorporated into my careee but that was wiped away by my “trusted” subordinate (I hate this word cos I don’t like hierarchy and everyone on my team is integral for our outcomes) anyhow realized her errors were recurrent and seemingly never followed up on was likely on purpose as the bully knew my subordinate colleague (“sc”) was very loyal and for the bully knew if the Sc had any tension that I’m out… and voila, dismiss the facts, use SC stories as facts, it’ll make her feel victimized, the errors will reoccur and he’ll eventually lose his mind and leave or a conflict and then I’ll get you out. And that’s exactly what happened, the close connection with SC is obliterated, she didn’t professionally grow in some ways bc mgmt intentionally dismissed her role in the errors. And there started the isolation phase, my colleagues even some I’ve never met or new, are fully engaging in all the techniques under the bullying and mobbing including withholding info, gossip, silent treatment, snubbing, passive aggressive . Literally by colleague’s who you’ve never met refuse to engage and gossip about you (however the bully and division head had meetings and emails which excluded me and therefore subjected to his charming lies). It’s so unbelievable that one guy could make up my character and perpetuate it into belief even though I’ve disproven each time he’s created an issue via character assassination. No third party investigations, nothing. It’s as if I’m living in twilight zone. Sadly are my clients, I’m extremely gifted in my art so to speak and with my demotion and restrictions I’ve been stagnant and people who’d wait months on end don’t even have option to get on wait list.

Now these women at work are those lose type women, know these guys and can not do well with men because those women have a very bad reputation. So they sicken these loser guys onto my throat. @SelfcareforBodyMindSpirit

Hi Robbie, it's not easy to explain. A short answer would be that an individual with different values can make a group that acts differently feel uncomfortable. Such an individual challenges the status quo and shows that it is possible to do things differently. By his mere presence in the group, that individual makes others see that the way they do things is not the only way that can be, and that can make people insecure. An unconscious response of the members of the group may be, let's say that this one individual is difficult or crazy, this way we don't have to take what she thinks, does, and feels seriously, we can just discard it.

It's common in abusive situations for the aggressor to play the victim. The aggressor doesn't want anyone to think that they are abusive, liars, character smearing and on the attack. The victim on the other hand is being exposed to more and more patterns of abuse, crazy making, gas lighting and isolation. In mobs, there are a lot of aggressors and one target typically. This target does what he/she can to survive and can look like an asshole if they finally lose it after being provoked so often. So that's how a target can look like the bad guy all the while the aggressor engages in positive impression management among colleagues and also gets to play, "victim," when the real victim is trying to be heard. It's highly engineered
