Wouldn't the stunt doubles of the Dragon Ball Z cast be even STRONGER than their counter parts? I mean stunt doubles are used to do scenes that the actors themselves cannot do.

These bootlegs are actually based on official figures from a Japanese company called Yutaka. The originals had more articulation like knee and elbow joints, but you can tell with these bootlegs that they got rid of them. Hope this helps!

That catalog is fucking hilarious, they got almost every single tokusatsu hero wrong, with Flashman becoming "Mask Eagleman", Turboranger becoming "Flashman", Spielvan becoming winspector, Winspector becomes "Super Police" and a "Flash man 5000" that I don't recognize but it's certainly not Flash King. The only one that's correct is Kamen Rider Black (well' that's Black RX but close enough I guess)

9:47 - that keyboard actually is a bootleg of a Winnie The Pooh keyboard thingy my kids had. You played the notes and the Pooh characters popped up out of the honey pots. It was exactly the same shape and button locations, but green instead of white and all the keys had the typical yellow/purple color scheme.

I think I commented a year or so ago when you posted this, but these are bootlegs of Yutaka figures from 1991-1992... which were designed in Japan and produced in Korea. So there are several bootlegs from Yutaka's line made in Korea since they had the factory molds. However, even the official versions were pretty rough... and I love them.

The Vegeta figure reminds me of Beaker from the Muppets.

The card that Phelous identified as depicted Nail looks like one of the nameless Namekian warriors from either the Namek, Frieza Saga, or that one scene in The Return of Cooler, where an unnamed Namekian tries to escape from Meta-Cooler's Cyclopian Guard Robots! I say that cause the cloth Nail wears around his neck isn't a cape like the one the Namekian is wearing on the card!

That Winspector Mask Man Gun is a copy of the Maskman battery powered squirt gun. The blue "knob" on the back is where the water hose and battery cable plug into on the real one. Batteries and water tank are carried on a shoulder strap an yeah, the real one leaks like a sieve, at least mine did.

10:34 Just wanted to give you a heads up that that is actually one of the closest named items in their little booklet. It's the weaponry from the Super Sentai Series "Fiveman", the original just being "Five Blaster".

Those non -Kamen rider ads were based on Pre-MMPR Super Sentai/ metal hero. Examples: Fiveman, gorenger, maskman, turboranger, etc.

10:30 It's odd that beside Batman (and of course DBZ), they'd use the actual name of a property here. I recall hearing of Winspector, but I don't remember it being as popular as Batman or DBZ (at least in France) so it's odd having the name used for knock-offs. Also, I have no idea who the Namek guy from the card is (figured it was Piccolo) and I don't recall the red guy's name, though i remember him being in the show. I'm not very familiar with DBZ TBH, I mainly know of the Cell saga and the movie where they encounter Broly.

I remember having a rather brittle SSJ Goku back in the day...the box it came in was epic, the figure not so much. And I had a Gohan that looked a little like this as well, that I won from a fairground. The artwork was just like the real thing but without any type of 'Dragonball Z' logo on it.
