The band was superb. All of them. Amazingly complex yet they make it look effortless. Phil sounds amazing as usual. Thank you for posting.

When Phil had hair. Ahhh the old days. p.s. love the complex rhythms, chords and melody... and still a cogent song... with an awesome message.

Beautiful!!! I was a huge Holdsworth fan from the early 70's and Phil'ssolo here is one of the best Holdsworth inspired works Ihave ever heard, technical but melodic and dynamic. I'm so grateful to finally get to see footage of the master playing this wonderful piece!

WOW! What a find! I had the audio of this version for a number of years, but had no idea that there was accompanying video. Awesome! Phil is just spectacular> My buddy and I always used to say that Phil's playing on this sounds like a mix of Allan, Al DiMeola and Eric Johnson. Beautiful.

@rkguitarplayer I completely agree. I have NEVER heard this live, let alone seen it. Always loved this song, from a now-lost era of Keaggy's classy (and creative) electric shredding... Keep em coming, and THANK YOU for posting this normfromal!!

@@rider8666 I wonder if there's a digital process/program/app which would correct the obvious flutter on this recording and mostly apparent on his voice?

@@kenmatinas9854 Thank you for that morning laugh. Your reply had me wondering just how long this comment strand would be if everyone who didn't know answered, "Dunno" or "I don't know" - lol Not sure what prompted you to answer for rider8666 or answer at all when there's nothing helpful about not knowing - since I also _dunno_ and am asking, hopefully, someone who *_does_* know. Oh golly, amusement in the morning - lol

Her name is STARR PARODY .. She was the keyboard player for the POSSE who was Arsenio Hall's TV show.. she was doing soundtrack work with her husband I think..

I don't know that it's Holdsworth inspired, but it's a great solo, and Holdsworth was certainly a phenomenal guitarist. It does sound like Holdsworth though. It's certainly possible that Holdsworth was inspired by Keaggy.

Like the song, but I never liked the sound of that Zion guitar. I don't know why he played it for so long.
