Continuing on with their second night of celebrating Phil Lesh's birthday he Phil Lesh Quintet ft. Warren Haynes, Jimmy Herring, Rob Barraco, and John Molo live from The Capitol Theatre performing "Dear Mr. Fantasy" by Traffic, "Shakedown Street" by the Grateful Dead,.

Warren Haynes is that comfortable jacket that you reach for any time you're going out. It's wonderfully aged and under appreciated until you put it on and wear it. It's the jacket that works in any season and with any clothing you have on. This man is a badass. Thanks Warren

Confirms my settled opinion that Phil & Friends is the best GD survivor band. Phil still kicking it at 84 (birthday: March 15th), with somebody else's liver. AMAZING!!! Same old Capitol Theater where I saw the Dead live, repeatedly, starting in 1970.

I saw The Dead 2009 Rothbury 2 great sets with Warren Haynes. Great iterations abound! Furthur was pretty tight!!! 💀

Man I was so lucky, living there in Englishtown, right behind Raceway park, the dragstrip and the Summer Nationals. Got to party with many a rocker. Best of all, got to get in free and into the pits, get close to the needles and funny cars. Dead was always a heavy ticket. Steppenwolf was montrous and very much humble all to hang around. Rockers and greasers we had it tight!!!

Wow. First set was really good. Second set was pumpin. Amazing Improv going on throughout the night. It was just like the old Q days! They had the entire Cap loving every minute of it and it was well deserved! Warren was absolutely in the zone singing his ass off. It's always great seeing Warren and Jimmy playing together. Two different guitar styles that fit so well together. It was wild. Definitely sounded like they've still been regularly playing together it was so great. Smokin jams that had everyone floating along. It was beautiful!

I agree. To remember how he convinced Phil to play bass for them when he had no prior experience. The world needs more friends like that. Their lives changed forever. Proud Jerry for sure

@@ajwilhelm No, you’re right. OK I will transfer the blame to the editor. Phil is doing some neat stuff that would’ve been nice to watch. Sometimes in videos they are too oriented to the singing. I have about 400 videos that I shot personally at shows, on my channel. Most of them on my camera with a fairly good zoom. When I rewatch them even 12 years later, I sometimes feel like my eyes are following the action points of the music.

I love jam bands, grew up listening to them. Seen the Grateful Dead many times in the 90s. But these intro jams sometimes are a bit like an orchestra tuning up lol. I’d be looking at my watch like, alright boys, you sound like you’re all in the same key, hit it! lol. Also, sounds more like Dear Mr. Fantasy than Shakedown.

I told you warren was gonna play with phill at the capatle got sick covid couldn’t go even got all my shots 2022 October. 29 at the capatle I cought Covid at phill and frends my birthday is oct 30 even though I got sick the show was worth it ringing in my 65 birthday with my daughter. She did not get sick this march 6 show I stayed away. Don’t want to be responsible iff phill got sick hope to see you again soon need to clear out my brain fron all this every day bullshit phill and frends is just what the doctor ordered
