I am currently homeless. The shelter I am at has devotion every morning. Today is my hearing for my SSDI and they played this song. The only thing I have left right now is the hope my Faith in God has given me. This song just helped raise my hope a little today.

My little sister passed away a few months ago while giving birth. Her baby survived. This song got me through that darkest time of my life, and my nephew, now seven months old totally loves this sing. It's how he smiles and tries to sing along whenever I play it, which is quite often. How comforting is it that there is life beyond the grave!

I am over 70 years old and grew up on traditional Christian music, which still feeds my soul, but this song is sung by a new generation of believers, and I know that this song feeds their souls...but you need to know it also feeds the souls of people who are like me feel closer to seeing Jesus face-to-face. Death has no sting, and the joy in this song is that we have a great and glorious God who loves us and has already prepared a place for us; when my time becomes obvious I will not have a single fear because He lives within those who place their faith in Him. Well... I am a rarity in the world. I truthfully say, I've been dead twice. Health professionals being immediately on hand in an ICU is why I'm here. I can say that it's as easy as falling asleep. I do not fear death, for when it comes. I go to my Father's house, where He has prepared a place for me. I go to see my friend who walks with me everywhere I go. For the Spirit of God is within me and I welcome Him to live within me just as He will welcome me home.

Same here. Can't say I was dead, but I was close. ICU was where I was snatched from the jaws of death. I agree that for the believer, there is no fear in death. I sang this song last night with a mass choir. It has a universalist message. Who is "we?" Is it all humanity? Is it only those who truly believe? What is the role of repentance and humility in sanctifying believers after they are effectually called to faith in Christ? The song leaves a lot of questions open. Agreed. I found the artistic representation very cool, as they demonstrated how music can stir up faith. The negative influences of this world are designed to make our heart sick through emotional & physical pain resulting in a given person turning to music as one source of comfort to the body. The painful realty of this existence gives rise to the birth of music in two forms, earthly & HEAVENLY. Earthly music speaks to the experiences of this world through the singer-song writer’s eyes. Oftentimes drug use (i.e. alcohol, smokes, marijuana, cocaine, opioids, benzos and propofol to name a few) is intertwined with the survival of an artist to deal with the pressure of performing in order to stay relevant in the music industry, and to serve as fuel for creativity. As a result, music celebrities develop a tendency to sin against their body, through excessive drug use, for not measuring up to or to satisfy the demands of their music. Any earthly joy they experience is darkened by the heavy burden of performing and the loss of privacy. The end users of their music become fans because the lyrics are relatable and the sound of the singer’s voice & rhythm helps them cope with the pains of this reality. Unfortunately, this band aid approach is only a time out from the hurt and in the meantime we are fortifying its wall with painful memories waiting in line. Who can save us from wounds that are silent, wordless and cruel all the while tearing us apart inch by inch on the inside, which could radically accelerate the demise of the human body? I will use caps as emphasis to show the honest reverence for GOD'S SOVEREIGNTY when writing about HEAVENLY music in the paragraphs below. That INVINCIBLE DIVINE be our HEAVENLY FATHER, WHO THROUGH HIS SON’S MISSION HAS INSPIRED believers to write songs that sing of HIS LIFE GIVING LOVE to deal with emotional & physical pain, economic instability, mortality and the emotional instability of others with the motive of winning over souls for HIS KINGDOM. The melody & theme of HEAVENLY music is hateful and intolerable to the devil, a spirit which causes us to be blinded of the effects of sin and is responsible for the woes of this world such as melancholy, anguish, tribulation and trial. These agitations of the soul create a heavy burden for the lost and could lead him or her to be hostile of songs that sing about GOD’S GLORY. This makes it clear that we cannot win the spiritual battle by our own strength. Moreover, on earth the devil has no equal. GOD has provided us with the ONE WHO CAN AND WILL LIFT the heavy burden of sin's guilt from a given sinner's heart if he or she (through faith) would open their understanding to Psalms (starting with the focus on Psalms 51:1-10 KJV), and hymns/songs giving praise to HIM for the purpose of being persuaded, converted and healed by the HOLY SPIRIT from within by transforming your body/temple into a meeting place for you and the KING OF THE AGES to commune as friends through the born again experience (repentance manifesting itself in a changed life). It is only here that the fears of tomorrow will diminish, the blessed assurance is given that you are HIS and HE LIVES. Once the blessed assurance is known in prayer (through the confession of wanting salvation from one’s sinful nature, combine with admitting that JESUS CHRIST is LORD and believing in one’s heart that GOD raised HIM from the dead to deliver us from sin's guilt) the world can never take it away because the world didn’t give it to you.

I’m 26, and in my life I have faced so much loss, my twin sister passed away on 12/24/2017, my dad on 12/08/2019, my grandpa 07/24/2021. I also suffer with gastroparesis that may take my life soon, but I have learned even though pain God will hear us. We all will bow before Him and death will be no more!! Hallelujah! We each must take care of our eternal destination when we're on this earth, choosing whether or not to come to Jesus Christ and repent and accept HIS atoning sacrifice to wash away our sins. @@stilesxloml2460 Do not be deceived: Purgatory is an absolutely 100% false teaching that is NOT FOUND in God's Word but was conjured by Medieval greedy clergy who wanted grieving families to put money in church coffers while priests supposedly prayed their loved ones out of this made-up, in-between location. In truth, there is no mid-way holding cell ... once we die, we're either with Jesus Christ Whose salvation we accepted while we were here on earth, or we are separated into eternal darkness apart from the Presence of God.

Welcome, If you haven't found it already For King and Country have some amazing music videos like mini movies my favorites are Burn the Ships, Joy, Proof of your Love, and Pioneers. And if you haven't seen it yet I highly recommend The Chosen(free app but also on youtube) it is a multitude season show about Jesus and his followers in a totally different , very realistic, not Hollywood or strict churchy show. It is the most believable show I've seen about Jesus and again highy recommend.

Hi dear Phil! My best friend drowned on June 25th, the very day Hymn of Heaven came out. He was a famous preacher and evangelist in the Netherlands. Today would've been his 23rd birthday. This song happened to touch our hearts as relatives this very day. These lyrics gave us comfort and joy on this difficult day. For someone who struggles with suicidal thoughts daily, severe depression and migraines and pain. Christ is my only hope in this world. I'm so blessed to have an amazing life otherwise, but man, Heaven can't come soon enough. For the unsaved, this life is heaven. For the saved, this life is hell. I highly suggest for those who are struggling to accept Christ to give Him a chance. Your life will NOT be perfect... heck, it will probably be HARDER. Satan KNOWS he doesn't have you and will trip you up any chance he has. But Jesus DOES have you. He will hold you along the way and be your ONLY hope and sustenance in this dirty, horrific world. He gave his precious blood for us in a way we will NEVER understand on this side of heaven. And when this life is over - like a vapor in the wind as the Bible says - we will be in eternal paradise where sin will be no more. I can't wait to be with my Jesus. "Glory to our God, who gave His life beyond the grave. Holy, Holy is the LORD." ♥

This song has really been getting my mom, brother and I through the last few weeks. My dad died 3 weeks ago from his ALS, and Jesus has just been comforting us so much and Phil Wickham has always been a great source of worship to sing to, every since I found him in 2007. The morning my dad died, August 30th, 2021 at 5:28AM. My brother and I drove to the ER to meet my mom after she called us and gave us the news that my dad was with Jesus. We weren’t allowed in the ER before this point but we were then, and as my brother and I drove to the hospital, tear-filled, we just had the urge to sing You’re Beautiful as the sun was rising, especially at the bridge: “When we arrive at eternity's shore Where death is just a memory and tears are no more We'll enter in as the wedding bells ring Your bride will come together and we'll sing You're beautiful” Jesus has been there and this has been a serious test of faith. But he has not failed us once, and my dad is finally healed in heaven.

May the Lord our God give you his comforting Peace. I know your pain. My parents both passed in a car crash when I was 12 years old. My heart was broken, hurt and felt an awful emptiness but God filled my heart back his most beautiful LOVE and I have never felt so much joy and purpose in life. What I love about my tragedy is that GOD showed up and has never left me. My parents never got to listen to Phill Wickham’s songs but I do and i think of them living and breathing Heaven’s air. I used to see my mom praising and singing “How Great is Our God” and I can’t contain my tears when I hear Carrie Underwood’s version bc it reminds me of my sweet mom. God sees you guys mourning but HE’s right there next to you, your mom and your brother. He won’t let go of you. I won’t forget the day He filled my heart back with his PEACE and LOVE. HE NEVER FAILS. Your dad is alive and well in God’s presence, Our Heavenly Father is beautiful, and you will see HOW beautiful HE is. God bless you and your family.

I love this song anyway, but I particularly love how Phil breaks after singing the end of each verse with the line, "Holy, Holy is the Lord." You don't get touched so deeply like that unless you KNOW God. NOT know about God - but know God. I love that line. And it gets me every time.

My mom passed away on the 4th of this month (July 2024). I played this at her funeral and I come back to it when I want to feel closer to her because I know she's in heaven looking down at me and watching over me. I hurts like nothing I have ever felt, knowing that she's no longer here but I will see her again one day. I love you so much and I miss you mama.

Same here. I heard it on K-LOVE, and I instantly fell in love. This songs hits me a lot because I personally knew a handful of people who passed away in the year 2022. In February, my grandfather passed away at the age of 90. Then in August, my grandmother's best friend passed away at age 95. In the last few days, two senior women who I helped at a nursing home passed away, along with a former college professor and a former famous dance teacher. I just tell myself that they are nor suffering anymore, and they are with our Lord. Praise His name!! Amen!

I can’t wait to see my baby boy again and his 7 other little siblings. I will never understand why God needed so many of my babies but I know they are safe and with their heavenly family, with Jesus. This sacrifice is small in comparison to what Jesus did for all of us.

Thanks my beloved ..I recieve comfort with this song ..my wife passed away on 18th May 2021 shockingly after suffering on the lung machine due covid. I was also in hospital prior & was deeply grieved to see my wife suffering .I committed to The Lords will . My son amd me find solace in these precious words .. Even so come Lord with those who have died in Christ ..

4 weeks ago today, early in the morning, my father went home to Heaven. We decided to go to church that morning (4 hours after he passed) to be with my church family. “Hymn of Heaven” was one of the congregational songs. Such a beautiful song, reminding me of where we will meet again someday. To God be the glory!

@@philwickham9007 I listen to Hymn of Heaven every morning, and it helps me start my day! If I don't watch out I will stay in my room everyday all day. Now that I found you and your music it has helped me to get out everyday and take a walk. I wish I could work but my health is up and down a lot. I have three girls and their father beat me bad for 15 years. I've been working on myself, but I have a lot of trust issues. Thank you for being you!!

It hurts my heart to see people actually dislike this song. The message is beautiful, we all need Jesus. Two of my children were addicted to heroin but in 2020 Jesus delivered them both! He is my hero

Absolutely my favorite song for this season. I've lost two persons so close to me from Covid. Thank God they knew Jesus. This song just puts things into perspective.

I know how you feel, I lost 2 brothers 17 days apart from covid!!! I listen to this song and think of them being healed in Heaven.
