I've put together 2 seperate videos of this performance.

Satch will forever be my personal fave guitarist - 30+ years and counting. But there is a very good reason why Guthrie is widely regarded AMONG HIS PEERS as being "the guitarist's guitar player". Simply mind-blowing, astonishing talent and technique. Like PhilX here, who is by no means a shabby player, watch other brilliant guitar players interact with Guthrie on stage - you can't help but see the joy they feel when playing with Guthrie. And that includes Satch, who very early on, famously said about Guthrie: "I just can't help but smile every time I hear him play..." The really ironic, ridiculous thing is none of those guys feel like they are in competition with Guthrie or with each other - ironic since those brilliant players all get it while so much of the rest of the world still [stupidly and pointlessly] views music as a competition. Don't let him do that to you, there's a hundred other guitar players I would rather listen to. Okay he has technical ability but there's more to music than just playing fast runs on the guitar, trust me. Find your own sound, like the Gilmours of the world, if you don't play particularly fast.
