The three catches by DK Metcalf in the final drive were so important. It shows how dominant a player he can be when the hawks choose to use him. Seems like he should get more pass plays through the rest of the game. DK really can change the momentum of a game! Jaxon Smith-Njigba also made a stellar catch for the final TD to take the lead. And, of course Julian Love with the final interception prevented a tie ball game with Eagles in field goal range in the final seconds. Drew Lock was playing at a level we have not seen before, as well. Even blocking on one of the TDs for Walker Jr. Wow!

@@christophermanley3602 i wouldn't say that definitively but them losing here is like a wounded animal, staggering around a bunch of predators. The big 2 that they might have to face in the playoffs (SF & DAL) definitely got a boost of confidence from this loss. If PHI would have won, then those intangible dynamics might have been in their favor but now... It's like when the Giants barely lost to my Patriots during the "perfect" season. Those guys on NY were like, "This is the best team in the league? And we just pushed them to the brim? Oh, we can definitely beat these guys." And the rest is history 😣 I'm not a huge fan of PHI but I respect the hell out of them because they do give my brothers a fair shot & shake when it comes to building talented teams with and around them & that type management has yielded pretty positive results..including a SB 😣😣. But yeah, this loss is bigger than most people will probably realize. You have to have a definitive, impactful "statement making" win during a season..especially during the lead ups to postseason...and PHI really screwed the pooch on this one (no disrespect to SEA).

This is what you call putting handcuffs on a qb don't let them play hero ball every 3rd down so you score a lot less (Josh Allen, Jameis Winston, Brett farve) but they allow the defense to slow the game down which is why they're typically lower score games. It's what Seattle has had to do without an elite qb like prime russ. This is what a system qb looks like. Not sexy but Jimmy g made it to a superbowl hassleback and Joe Flacco have as well but this proves that Seattle hasn't been able to replace what russ brought to Seattle. Pete believes in this team so much he was willing to sacrifice the most important player for the good of the franchise. If we could only find the Russell Wilson of old in terms of playmaker at qb it'd make Seattle an immediate contender that's what this game proves to me. We took 2 bad qb and made them look about as average as you can allow with flashes vs teams that drop play calls lions, panthers, commanders. Yet this offense can only average 20 points which isn't winning football unless you're the LOB average of 13 ppg. Pete's basically gambling on hitting another legendary defense but hasn't succeeded. He almost did for a little bit but it's never enough to hold the main contender of the nfc niners back. I think if seattle had a top 5 qb this team would be in discussions with the eagles and niners unless Waldron and Pete handcuff those guys. They know that they have to handcuff lock and geno but if they didn't have to and the qb succeeded then we're talking rings
@adotintheshark4848
@adotintheshark4848 4 ай бұрын
about putting a backup QB in handcuffs, then what's the purpose of a backup? A backup should let you win games too, otherwise what's the point? I'm glad Pete let Drew play. He's not going to take Geno's job but it shows he can win if he's in there.@@RGCDTB

What a great game & great home win for the Seahawks. Would love to see them as an underdog team in the playoffs.
