Good video. You pick out stuff I’d like to see but I’m always in a car. It’s the old, long time forgotten things that are the true treasures.

It is very smart to clean up the city and build good housing. Homes are now priced way over anyone working a regular job to afford. The answer is affordable, clean rental apartments. It will keep people contributing to the city, and allow those of us who do not make over $100K a year to NOT have to live on the streets. Great video.

Back in the 60's we lived on the 800 block of Schiller off G street and my parents use ta shop at what was then the new Acme that opened on Aramingo ave guess near Gaul street. After shopping we stopped across the street at a mom and pop store on the corner of Gaul, think it was called Ann's deli. The woman there made the best hoagies and they were big! Tanks for the memories

That is the DOPEST view of the Delaware. Unfortunately over the past century we’ve let the docks of the Delaware go to shambles. I live in Delaware county on the other side of Philly and we just started to repair the waterside. South Phillys Navy Yard is starting to finally look up too. This is encouraging, just wish we could do more affordable homes 😂

my grandmother would talk fondly of Stock's bakery. They started selling the pound cake in the 1920's when granny was in her early teens.

I'm glad to see nice parts of Philly. These places have character. Now as far as places along the river for a Million, it's a wonder how much a place of that value would run in Neighboring Major City, NYC? After looking at the prices of everything in Kensington, Phillys Cost of Living must be cheap compared to NYC. The only people who could afford to live in NYC nowadays are the very super rich & famous.

I was literally at those new houses and Graffiti Pier yesterday, while on a bicycle ride, with Philly Bicycle Club. I knew from your videos exactly where I was, even before I was told, also rode on that new part of the East Coast greenway, very cool.

Nativity softball team was BEASTS 2000-2002. We met them in championship every year but it would never come close.

I grew up in the Overbrook section of West Philly, if I had to live anywhere in Philly it would be Packer Park South Philly

The old style houses had much more of an interesting look and charm with many crafted details than the current styles. These homes look sterile without personality to my eye. We may see a more elaborate style like the Victorian Era, or a futuristic combo of old and new. The architects in the future could be more creative like those of the bygone eras.

So Cap that wall of concrete rectangular blocks could be a place to "store" them until the authorities have a specific use. In California and elsewhere municipalities often do likewise. That's a lot of money tied up there "doin' nothin" unless it is used as cheap "storage"!

The people who live in tents on Kensington are not homeless, they are transient. BIG DIFFERENCE. These people prefer to get high and stay as close as possible to where they can copp some dope. They do not want homes they want dope. Real homeless people would never choose to setup shop anywhere near Kensington.

For every millionaire theirs two homeless people behind them . Truth is who actualy needs to be a billionaire? But ya every millionaire wants to be a billionaire at all costs including others lives feelings and blood . They say slavery was abolished but what i see is minimum wage is slavery and in most places will barely cover rent leaving working people to rely on foodstamps and such or end up homeless.
