From my point of view, our pre-colonial superstitious beliefs greatly influence our literature of today. Filipinos are still very fond of stories that are unexplainable. It sill tickles are curiosity and interest. Just like one of the characteristics of Pre-colonial literature, contemporary stories are also focused on the action and not much on character building or enriching the plot.

Thank you for this question, It was revived during the contemporary period because during the colonization of the Philippines Tagalog/Filipino was not accepted as a medium for literature. The revival of the Tagalog language started during the American Period when the Americans allowed Filipinos to write in the Tagalog language.

That question is more historical than it being literary. Anyway, in the literary perspective, pre-colonial literature has influenced our political system through the class system. Pre-colonial stories involved rajas, datus, princesses, and tribes with particular leaders. These mirror our current political system of having local government units starting from barangays to the national government. I guess that's all. I hope I helped you. Thank you :)
