Much better sound quality than Sony's minidics. Philips, superb stuff!

Hello, I also own a DCC951. In my opinion, the transport mechanism is pretty noisy: when there's no sound, you may hear it clearly at 2-3 meters of distance. Is it a normal "feature" or should I assume that I got a somehow faulty unit? Thank you!

I don't know, this is my only DCC951 so I cannot compare it to another. What do you mean with noisy, the sound of the spinning motor and cassette?
@carloferrari36714 жыл бұрын
@@ericBcreator yes: it's much higher than - say - any other compact cassette deck that I have. Anyway, as the apparel is working correctly, I assume that it could be "normal".

@@carloferrari3671 Yeah. The DCC951 is also louder than my Akai and Nakamichi cassette decks, mainly motor noise. I'm expecting a n.o.s. DCC900 to arrive tomorrow, will compare it with the 951.

@@ericBcreator that will be interesting..

@@carloferrari3671 I received the DCC900 today, it really is like new. You can check it over here: tinyurl.com/verd2at The transport makes noticeably less noise than the 951, hardly any at all. The 951 has a newer type of transport mechanism with turbodrive. Strange the newer type would make more noise but that seems to be the case.

Question for you. How many dc decks you had. If you have more than this model. Please give a pinion what deck is the best for you. Model, please ( this is DCC-951)

I own a DCC-900 and 91 as well but both need some maintenance so I can't really compare them.
