To make it work with HomeKit or any other platform, you'll need the Philips Hue bridge. So, this switch is somewhat larger than I expected, but it's still reasonable. It's quite easy to detach the dial; it's magnetic, which is a nice touch. I also appreciate that you can use the dial separately; it can sit on the counter or be wall-mounted using the included plate. What I've always admired about Philips Hue is the high build quality, and this switch is no exception. On the front, you have four tactile buttons with a satisfying click, and of course, the dial itself. The battery is a CR2032, and I'm not sure how long it will last, but I'm looking forward to exploring what this Philips Hue Tap Dial Switch can do in my smart home. This device is UL listed, I love the look of it, and I'm eager to integrate it into my smart home setup.
