Great Video. The New Goat Bikes have that same display. I asked about that E-ABS thing. I was advised not to use it.

Thank you. If you check the description the second item is the handle bar mitts, if you want to check them out. They are really cheap and worth every penny. I can ride down in the 20's with just my fingerless gloves : ) thanks for watching

Question : Based on your experience with this bike so far, what are its noteworthy features which distinguish it from its competitors, and make it a bike worth purchasing?

I like that the dual batteries are very well balanced in the middle. I added a 2nd battery on my H8 and it was not as balanced as these two together. I like that you can turn off and on the AWD. You can be in cruise, start up a hill and the bike will start to slow from the hill. Hit the AWD button and it will engage without throwing it out of the cruise. It will then gain speed, even on crazy steep hills. Having the dual batteries gives you great range. It is just crazy fun and peppy, especially when in AWD. They really improved the assembly of the luggage rack. It is completely assembled, you just put in 4 bolts to hold it on the bike. It has bluetooth. The other day I was riding and a message appeared on the display. It was from my wife saying she picked up something for me. I was not aware it had that function. It is full suspension and paired with my suspension seat post that I already had, it makes for a very comfortable ride. It has a password to turn on, it has ABS brakes that are adjustable. It is just a fun bike. Hope that helps : )

no, I have not figured out how. I tried once and reset my miles, now I am a little hesitant to try as I don't want to lose my miles again LOL

That's the same thing I did on my Goat Bike. I learned after watching some video i found that was using this same display there's supposed to be an option called Display Settings and it's in there. On the Goat bikes we only have Display Information.@@papablueshirt

Is there any sort of speed hack, like the H8?
@papablueshirt
@papablueshirt 4 ай бұрын
Yes, you can adjust it in the settings just like the H8. It is actually a lot easier to do the settings as they use plain english instead of numbers. : )

Hello. again how are you getting on with the jumbo, i appreciate your help but had to return the keteles k800, so might be looking for something similar, what do you think between the h8 and the jumbo, if you can get it in the uk. Thanks
@papablueshirt
@papablueshirt 4 ай бұрын
The Jumbo is serving me well. I am riding about 50 miles a day and loving it. If I were to choose between the Jumbo and H8, I think the main decision is how far do you plan to typically ride. If 25 -35 miles a day is what you plan, then the H8 should serve you fine. If more than that, you may want the extra battery power of the Jumbo. They ride pretty similar. The Jumbo is a smoother ride because of the full suspension. I would say the H8 with a suspension seat probably rides like the Jumbo without one. Put the suspension on the Jumbo and it is a wonderful ride. The H8 is taller stand over height, so that may be a consideration. The Jumbo is a better hill climber, but the H8 does very well too. So Like I say, probably how far you want to go is the main consideration. Hope that helps I have another Jumbo video coming if I can get the thumbnail made LOL

@@papablueshirt hello pap , thanks for the response, I was wondering how does the two batteries work, do you use one at a time, then when one runs out you use the second one , or do you use them together, if that makes sense. Appreciate it
@papablueshirt
@papablueshirt 4 ай бұрын
They work together as one battery. What it does, it automatically switches from one to the other as they wear down. So it is always using the higher charged battery. So when it switches, the other battery cools, when the other wears down below that one, it switches back. So this way two batteries go further than one big giant battery as it is more efficient.

@@papablueshirt hello. Pap. So it's less strain on 2, rather than one larger battery, so how does the voltage and (amp hour) work, so does that mean you are only getting the power of one battery at a time but twice the range,, or do you actually get more volts or power on one battery at a time, I know you mentioned about more uphill power. Thanks , appreciate your time
@papablueshirt
@papablueshirt 4 ай бұрын
You can think of it like a gas tank. You have two gas tanks that you can switch back and forth. You want them to be equal, so you manually switch from one to the other as you drive. This is kind of the same thing, without having to do it manually. If you have a battery that is 48 volts and one is 40 volts. If you hooked them together, they would immediately equalize. The 48 volts would head toward the 40 volt battery. It could be disastrous as the battery can not handle the sudden rush of power and it would explode. [this is what you see happening on youtube with some batteries where they hooked them up directly.] To prevent this, there is a balancer that will balance the two. It will draw from the 48 volt battery until it is slightly below the 40 volt battery, then it will switch and use that for a while. So it will keep them pretty much balanced. When I added a battery to my H8, I had to have a balancer between them. You can hook them direct, but you have to always know that they are close in power. Not something I want to have to be concerned about. So I used a balancer. It also helps so I can do range tests. I can turn the battery off, run to exhaustion doing my test. When done, I can just turn on the the battery and go and not worry about them be balanced. The Jumbo has more up hill power, but it is coming from how they send the power to the front. They seem to have it come on stronger. My H8 like I said also has dual batteries, so having the dual battery is not why it climbs faster. So yes, it only uses one battery at a time. It switches back and forth as they run down. Hope that helps : )

So how’s it compare to old blue with your 2 battery set up? I was thinking you got much better mileage.
@papablueshirt
@papablueshirt 5 ай бұрын
Yeah, old blue was a little better but my after market 2nd battery was a 24ah vs a 23ah. So it was a little bigger. I did another range test [upcoming video] Where I ride with both batteries on and I ride it to exhaustion, I did get much better mileage with the 2 batteries going at the same time, which I thought that I would as it is more efficient. So I did better than 60 miles on that ride. I do like that you can choose pas 5-7 which is still very rideable and you get much more miles.

I forgot to mention that the batteries being in the middle, the Jumbo is very well balanced vs my added on battery.
