@@anonymousontheinternet1309are you sure? both turrets were built by Krupp but had the designation (P) which should be on the chassis from Porsche and (H) because it was supposed to be on the chassis from Henschel but Porsche's construction did not work, Henschel got both versions. And that which (P) should stand for prototype makes me think, because VK is called trial construction like the Tiger 2 was called VK 45.02 (P) and VK 45.03 (H)

Both turrets were developed by Krupp, but the "Porscheturm" was designed by Porsche and the "Henschelturm" by Henschel, there is a major difference between developing/construction and designing/drafting, so please get the facts and the thermology right.

The trick I learned while using this tank to make it better is to slightly turn your turret to the side after firing, then they cannot see the weak spot.

The Tiger 2 is the GOAT of tanks. For its time it was a masterpiece. Couldnt produce many of them or supply them at the time but doesnt change the magnificent piece of engineering

its "Pre Production" Actually porsche had different plans, but Krupp and Henschel were the top competitors of the Tiger II contract, Henschel won it {tiger II H} but during testing the made one krupp desgin

Krupp designed both the two different tiger 2 turrets and henschel the hull. Porsche had nothing to do with it what so ever. The (P) turret is indeed the prototype turret tho a few of the earliest tiger 2's that went into service also had it. It was quickly changed to the (H) design tho as it was both complicated and expensive to make.

@@berke6090 No, Porsche had nothing to do with the King Tiger. Henschel designed the hull and Krupp designed both turrets. This one is the early Krupp turret that was used before the German army wanted a redesign, and Krupp made what most people call the “Henschel Turret” but both were made by Krupp, the hull was mad by Henschel and Porsche had nothing to do with it

This is not a Porsche King Tiger. The P stands for ''Prototyp'' because it was a prototype Tiger 2 by Krupp before Henschel got the contract.

@@InevitableD34th The german prototypes had the letters VK, (P) stands always for Porsche like (H) vor Henschel or (M) for MAN..., there were designs from both manufactors, Henschel VK 4503 (H) and Porsche VK 4502 (P). Henschel got the contract for mass producing of the tank and Krupp for the construction of it's turret, Krupp developed the turrets from both prototype designs, the "Henschelturm" wasn't ready, thats why the earlier tanks got the "Porscheturm". So both turrets were developed by Krupp, but the "Porscheturm" was designed by Porsche and the "Henschelturm" by Henschel, there is a major difference between developing/construction and designing/drafting, so please get the facts and the thermology right.

Tiger II "Porsche" is a misnomer. The chassis were made by Henschel and the first 50 or so Tiger II's were fitted with the more rounded early Krupp turrets that were initially supposed to be for the Tiger VK.45.02(P) programme, which never went into production. So they repurposed the Krupp turrets and the VK.45.02(P) chassis went on to become the Ferdinand/Elefant.
