He should have at least been in the DLC chapter, which was basically trying to emulate an Ace Attorney 1 case in nearly every way. But still no Gumshoe. If there was ever a time for him to make a return, THAT was it!

So when I played the game I remember thinking that when Phoenix and Maya finally met again it seemed odd, because they didn't act like it had been forever since they'd seen each other. They weren't like, "Wow I can't believe its you!!!" However after thinking about it, even though the games don't give but a few clues, it seems that they had kept very close contact between the time after Trials and Tribulations and their eventual reunion in SoJ (evidence: Maya's letter from DD). So it wasn't like they had 8 years to catch up on when they met up again in Spirit of Justice. The only thing they really got when they met up again was seeing how the other had grown physically and being able to talk in real life again. It was really cool realizing how they had stayed close all those years, how they still depended on each other and continued to enjoy one another's company. :3

@@lukerosales5879 I always wondered that. In my headcanon, the two sort of... Moved on from Mia after T&T. Her spirit was finally able to rest, now that Dahlia was brought to justice and she was able to reunite with Diego. Still, it'd be really nice to see Mia again.

@@batfreeze56 fair point, I can definitely understand if Maya chose to let Mia rest. Still, being disbarred over forged evidence he and Trucy weren't even aware of was pretty devastating for Phoenix though. Even with being a father helping him get by there would've been days where he would've succumbed to despair, and even though I was surprised that Maya wasn't on that last case with him, it would've helped him cope with losing his badge if Maya channeled Mia and she encouraged him to keep smiling and use his disbarred status to investigate what really happened. And lowkey, I not surprised if Gavin had kept tabs on Maya as well since he kept tabs on everyone in that case, a spirit medium who could channel Magnifi or even Zak, who also has strong ties to Phoenix would automatically make her a target.

@@batfreeze56 it's more my speculation, but if he kept tabs on Phoenix, anyone associated to him wasn't safe and I'm pretty sure Gumshoe would've been monitored, remember Kristoph was driven to make sure that anyone who was involved in the case would die if they even attempted to talk. I mean it's logical he'd keep tabs on one of the few people who could literally channel Drew Misham or Trucy's dad from the dead.

I love Pheonix's Objection at 0:16, sounds more serious and desperate than the normal one. Which works well because of the DC act and how he'll die if he doesn't prove his client's innocence. I also love Apollo's Hold It at 0:54 because it sounds louder and more forceful which is in tune with his character.

First off, you only see *their* perspective; Important facts may have been hidden from view. Secondly, we don't get sound but have basic descriptions of what they DID hear; *Distinguishing identities by voice is impossible.* Third, if the killer knows of this power and its drawbacks, it becomes useless as they can exploit said drawbacks and *easily pin the blame on an innocent person without fail.*

Because her story was over, there's no point in bringing back, hell Yamazaki (the writer for this game) admitted that it was hard trying to come up a justified reason for her return, that's why she playes the damsel in distress role by being a defendant in case 3 and disappearing in case 5, they repeated plot points from earlier games because her story is over and there's nothing to add to it.

I'm liking that they're not packing in everything from the old games, if they do that would sort of be like a finale game, The Last Ace Attorney game or something I'd rather they expand the universe as much as they can honestly

CAPCOM in your video game series the only games series which I liked is Ace Attorney. What a story, what a colourful cast of characters, what a great animation. This was the best visual novel games series I ever seen.👍👍
