Looking for the perfect protective case for your iPhone 15 Pro Max? Really love Aramid Fiber? Check out the GEN-5 and FLEX 15 from PHONE REBEL! These cases are beautifully crafted, with nicely textured Aramid Fiber on the back, soft microfiber on the interior, strong MagSafe magnets, and CNC aluminum buttons and camera rings. If you choose the GEN-5 case, you'll have super grippy sides due to the micro spike design, and if you go for the FLEX 15, you won't need to worry about sides at all, because that case has a frameless design with completely open sides (3 sets of clear vinyl side stickers are included if you want to add a little scratch protection to the sides, however) . Both case models come with a tempered glass screen protector included, and while it is a nice enough screen protector, providing almost complete coverage to the 15 Pro Max screen, it suffers from a lack of any kind of installation frame. Both of these cases are available from PHONE REBEL as well as from Amazon, although they are a bit less expensive on Amazon currently. The REBEL GEN-5 is priced at $49.99 directly from PHONE REBEL and $44.99 on Amazon and comes in the single color shown in this review. The frameless FLEX 15 case is priced at $44.95 directly from PHONE REBEL or $40.99 on Amazon and also comes in just one color. It is possible to customize your PHONE REBEL case with different colors of CNC aluminum buttons and camera rings, however, so you aren't just limited to plain black. Been using this since it released… 1. It doesn’t need a guide for screen protector. 2. Put phone in case 3. Put guide stickers on the protector 4. Then take the bottom sticky plastic film off 5. Place protector over screen while phone is in CASE. 6. WAHLAH!!!! IQ 200 Anywho… the aluminum PVD coated camera ring and screws do not scratch phone. As well as the logo. It will scratch and wear off if you place Screen Face Up. It is an open face case so, if you do drop it there is a chance of screen breaking. It is grippy compared to previous models. It is even more swipe friendly compared to previous models. Doesn’t lay flat on the screen as it has raised claw corners. Aramid Fiber back is just like it was with GEN 4, Oleophobic coating. Magnets are stronger than any Rebel case before it. For me Gen5 is a 9/10 overall Gen 4 was 8/10 overall Gen 3 was 8/10 overall Gen 2 was 9/10 overall OG Gen 1 Rebel 9/10 Edit: forgot to add for people wondering… ALL my  cables work, Anker Cables work, Belkin Cables work. Obviously SAMSUNG ables are too wide and will not work. Had to say cause someone tried.

As I mentioned in the review, this was my first experience with the brand. Your screen protector installation method also sounds greatly superior to mine…I’m afraid I have become spoiled by the excellent installers so many screen protectors come with today. 😊 So happy you are enjoying your Phone Rebel Gen5!!

Hello! After all the usage time with the case, you haven’t experienced any kind of scratch made by the metal buttons??

@@ivansilvas nope not one… and i take phone out of case to clean. The buttons will not scratch the phone. The buttons, camera ring, and logo WILL SCRATCH your table if you place phone screen up. The camera ring will show wear and tear if you do that as well ( from what others have told me ) However i place phone facedown because i do not want other people to see and the rocking. Hope this helps man. It is a great case Gen4, Gen5 and Pitaka Magez Pro series are my favorite Edit: i meant to say the buttons will show wear and tear pulling in and out of jeans pocket. But logo and camera bump WILL SCRATCH if not careful

The grip on the gen 5 is definitely aggressive. I love the tapered sides though. It’s incredible for swiping. I have a love hate relationship with it lol. Thanks for the video, I love your content! ❤

Thanks for review! Great content as always! I have always bought one of phone rebel cases since iPhone 12’s. I started using flex Frosted series for iPhone 15. It’s a great case and I like the minimal design. It is really a well built and extremely rigid case which is unique to phone rebel. I have not found any other case brands having such benefits.

Thanks for sharing! The degree of rigidity is a bit unusual, you are right. As I mentioned in the review, this is my first experience with the brand, and I haven't had the opportunity to check out the Frosted Flex case yet. But Phone Rebel has impressed me, for sure!

Great video and content as always , welcome to the Rebel and yes this year the sides are a bit rough on the fingers . I’ve used the screen protectors as well and I find they don’t stick great on the sides always leaves a wave . The flex is fabulous, they also have the frosted one that I always had on my phone , but this year they only made the Gen 5 case for the 15 all the other cases are for the pro and the pro max which is unfortunate. Wow, Mary...you have experience with so many cases!! The Phone Rebel products are really nicely made (I just wish that screen protector had some sort of installer!!). Were the sides on previous Phone Rebel cases less rough (Gen 4 and earlier)? And so sorry that they didn't make a Flex for your phone model this year! It's quite a cleverly designed case...minimal, but still very protective. Enjoy your weekend...hope you are finally getting some spring weather?

@@TheTechReviewer No the sides were smooth way different. The weather here is terrible no pick up yet strong winds and rain a lot of the time farming is very difficult at the moment no cattle out yet and feeding is very short now . 🙂

Great review and content welcome to the Rebel 😂 I love these cases but this year I find the sides hard on the fingers as you said , as for the screen protector I’ve used them and I find the sides never stick great , the torras screen protector is fantastic and has a great installer. The flex case is great but unfortunately this year they haven’t made the flex or the frosted one for the 15 model . Really love the interchangeable buttons and camera rings . Have you tried the Phone Rebel frosted version (not flex)? I heard a rumor that the grip spikes aren’t as sharp, and the case is a bit thinner and lighter in the hand. Not sure if it’s true or not. Perhaps I missed your review of that one if so, can you provide me the link? I’m thinking about ordering that one too if I can find a good price on one. Thanks

@@DMac-uv1blthe grips on the frosted are the same as the aramid Gen 5. I also found the screen protector to be too short on my 15 pro max. I wish the USB C port was wider because I have trouble using my Caudabe USB c cable with this case.

Hey Kristen I got a Body Guardz ace pro for my 14. Hoping to see a review on it for the 15 if you ever have a chance. Looks like it's an American company and they use some kind of soft material from sports equipment for shock absorption. I got the clear case with magsafe. Not as much lip protection as the Mous but it's just adequate

Hey Kristin 😄 I've really struggled with a case I actually like for my 15 Pro Max. Am currently using the Spigen clear case which contrary to what everyone tells me, is still very nice and clear. It's not yellow. 😆 The MagSafe strength is just superb and I think that's why I keep using it a lot. What's your favourite case at the moment? 👍🏻

Hi Richard! Happy to hear that your Spigen clear case is working out well. There are various factors which contribute to yellowing, including UV exposure as well as skin oils and lotions and other cosmetic products. Different people may have different experiences with yellowing on the same case. So happy yours is staying clear! As to my favorite case so far for the iPhone 15 Pro, I tend to switch between the Speck Presidio Grip and the Mous IntraLock Evolution case, but I'm also really happy with the new RhinoShield CircularNext case, which I'll be publishing my review for soon. It's a really nice case...very similar to the SolidSuit, but with a bit more grip. Plus, it is made of 100% recycled phone cases and is 100% recyclable. Cool product. Hello friend! I’m about to buy one of those, but I’m a little bit concerned about the buttons. I saw there’s no inner protection for the buttons, that means the metal of the buttons directly touch the titanium buttons of the iPhone and in a little bit worried about scratches. After all this time using it, the buttons didn’t scratched your iPhone? I hope you can answer. Thanks a lot! I enjoy your videos a lot!

Hi Ivan! The interior of the case, where the metal button covers touch the phone buttons does not seem like it should scratch anything, but I am a very bad person to ask about long term use data because I switch my cases very often due to review purposes. Sorry I can’t be more helpful…

I think I still prefer my mous case. Those open sides and then the other case with the spikes are a hard pass. The aluminum accents scuff and show gouges over time if you drop your phone.

I hear you on the Mous Limitless. The two cases are both aramid fiber, but they do have their differences! Interesting point on the aluminum buttons and camera ring. I haven't noticed any issues with that, but I am gentle with my phone cases and I don't do drop tests. Personally, as I mentioned in the video, the micro spikes on the Gen 5 case sides are a bit too hard core for me, but I'm sure they have their fans! Thanks for watching, Enrique!!

It has more texture in the aramid fiber and I think that helps lessen the amount of fingerprints that show up. It is a heavier duty case than the Benks aramid fiber cases I have reviewed. And if you go for the Gen-5, the sides have lots of grip. Hope this helps, Ivan!
