Hi Ivan! Greasy smears are always a problem for Kevlar and Aramid Fiber cases, and unfortunately the AirArmor Aurora case is no different. It is slightly textured…basically the same as the ArmorPro and it will have the same issues with showing greasy or oily smears.

It is the one big downside of the Aramid Fiber/Kevlar material. It looks great, feels great and wears well, but it does show greasy smears. That’s sadly true, but it’s not Benks’s fault. Kevlar/Aramid Fiber has a big fingerprint problem. And the texture on the Benks cases does help lessen fingerprints and greasy smears. It is superior to smooth Aramid Fiber cases such as the Mous Limitless…

Hey Kristin, Alicia here sorry I have a question for you and unfortunately not about this wonderful water bottle. Its regarding apples MagSafe wallet. I have seen you use the leather version many times in your videos but Im wondering if you have had the opportunity to see the fine woven version. I know there is so much negative reviews on it. Im just curious if you have seen it. Or if you have perhaps heard anything about it other then its not a good buy. Why Im asking is I want a MagSafe wallet that will hold 3 cards and to be quite slim but good MagSafe strength. I have a lot of MagSafe wallets ear, most, otterbox, sactachi, magback. Im using casetify's not leather version which is ok but just holds 2 cards. Like I said the apple fine woven case I saw at apple did not feel great for a case to be held for a great deal of time but a wallet is different so just was wondering your opinion to it.

@TheTechReviewer 16 күн бұрын
Hi Alicia! Lovely to hear from you! It's a good question, but I don't have an answer for you, unfortunately. Like many people, I was a bit put off by the finewoven lineup from Apple. I checked out the finewoven cases in store last fall and was quite underwhelmed. The material didn't feel premium or particularly durable. However, I didn't check out the wallets. You may be right that durability is less of an issue for a wallet as compared to a case, though... Hope you are having a good summer!!

I really don’t understand how this case got a function row and a larger trackpad than their own Rebound case. Doesn’t make any sense. If the Rebound case had a function row it would be more competitive with the Apple keyboard case.
@TheTechReviewer
@TheTechReviewer 19 күн бұрын
I hear you...it was puzzling to me at first as well. So, the reason why the Ascend is able to pack so much more in terms of functionality into its keyboard and trackpad area than the more expensive Rebound is because of the design of the stand. The Rebound uses a cantilever design that is very similar to Apple's Magic Keyboard. It's really cool, but because the iPad Pro hangs over the keyboard a bit, it results in less space overall. With the Ascend, the stand design is different, and leaves the keyboard/trackpad area completely open.
@PLANETWATERMELON
@PLANETWATERMELON 18 күн бұрын
@@TheTechReviewer Except for Apple just came out with a Magic Keyboard with a function key row. I think the real reason is that Apple owns the patent for a cantilever design with function key row which they won’t allow third party manufacturers to do yet.
@TheTechReviewer
@TheTechReviewer 18 күн бұрын
So, two things: 😊 1. Apple's Magic Keyboard has a better cantilever design than the Rebound. There is more flexibility in terms of the angles you can put your iPad Pro in. 2. The ESR Rebound Keyboard case for the 13 inch iPad Pro M4 has a function key row...with the additional space that the 13 inch model gives you, ESR was able to squeeze in a function row...

Is the one with the clear backing likely to scratch the iPad? I saw in a different review that the shift case has thin padding on the interior of the case so that it doesn’t scratch the back.
@TheTechReviewer
@TheTechReviewer 22 күн бұрын
I don’t think the clear backed Rebound Hybrid is likely to scratch your iPad Pro. And the Shift is not much softer in the interior…any lining there is exceedingly thin. The real risk for scratching with either case is getting dirt or dust trapped inside the case, in between the iPad and the case. That’s what can cause scratching.😊

It’s my favorite keyboard case so far. For me, it ticks a lot of boxes: I love the fact that you have more protection for your iPad Pro both when you are using the combo touch in keyboard mode and without. I love the fact that you can easily detach the keyboard from the rest of the case. I love the fact that the case still allows you to have a stand even when the keyboard is detached. And I love the fact that it uses the Smart Connector, so pairing and charging aren’t necessary. The lighter weight is a great feature as well. Is it worth the $229? I think it depends upon whether you really need a keyboard case for your iPad Pro. If you do, then I think it is well worth the price. But if you only rarely need keyboard functionality, then a cheaper non keyboard case might be a better choice…

I tried both. The weak front cover magnets on the Shift were a deal breaker for me. It flaps open if you don’t hold it closed. Even when holding it closed you can feel the front cover moving around. I fear that if you picked up a small piece of grit on the cover, the sliding motion might result it screen scratches. The Shift just didn’t feel good in the hand. On the other hand, I have found the Rebound to be great option for trips away from the house, great full body protection and lots of flexibility in viewing angles.
@TheTechReviewer

You make some excellent points, Leigh. Thanks for sharing! The secure closure of the Rebound Hybrid is definitely a pro. Hi Chris! Thanks for sharing your M1 Combo Touch experience. Of course I don’t have any long term use data so far on the M4 Combo Touch, but the case section for the iPad Pro fits beautifully so far, and doesn’t show any indications of future warping tendencies. This is my first time reviewing the Combo Touch, but it is my understanding that they made some big changes this year…I know this year’s version is much lighter weight, for example. Hopefully the issues you mention with the M1 case won’t be a problem for this year’s model. Have you tried contacting Logitech about the warping on your M1 case? This is a great video, however, the inner silicone sheath gets very dirty overtime. I find it inevitable to have to clean the inside.

Hi Kristi! I think that is partly cat dependent…some kitties have messier digestive issues. Also, making sure you keep sufficient litter inside the globe is really important so that the urine and feces have enough litter to absorb them so they don’t stick to the interior. Finally, I think that litter quality is important. Litter Robot recommends clumping clay litter, and I have found Tidy Cats Unscented to be the best for my cats. Hope this helps!!

Thank you!! Appreciate the comment. Are you convinced one way or another in favor of the Combo Touch versus the Magic Keyboard?

@@TheTechReviewer I think so, yea! I think the fact that it has a detachable case from the keyboard while the Magic Keyboard leaves the iPad “naked” when not in desktop form is what is the main reason for me. But in general, to someone who the “premium feel” isn’t much of a factor (I’ll be going to university!), the Logitech seems like the better deal. That being said I probably won’t be buying the iPad Pro, let alone accessories for a couple months lol

There is a lot to love about the Logitech Combo Touch...it is my favorite iPad Pro keyboard case so far. As far as waiting a few months, that might work in your favor. Hopefully by then, you might be able to get the iPad Pro and accessories a bit cheaper on sale. Maybe a Black Friday sale, if you can wait that long... Thanks for watching, and have a great weekend!
