Samsung Galaxy J5 review with a look at its build, cameras, pros and cons. The Galaxy J5 comes with a 5-inch 720p Super AMOLED display, quad-core Snapdragon 410 octa-core processor with 1.5GB RAM, 8GB expandable storage running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with TouchWiz. sir how do u reduce the size of the screen while a call is going on like we had in 5.0 android. the two arrows on right corner at the top by which we used to reduce the size from big to small while calling

If you are fine with all the cons I mentioned then sure go ahead, but the Moto G3 is still a better device for Rs. 1000 more.

The capacitive buttons are not backlit and have no haptic feedback. Can you at least set it so that it has some response? Like, is there an option to set some vibration?

Great presentation of the phone specs! Question, if one is no gamer just a regular user hopes to use lag free phone for at least year and a half, or even two (mostly using navigation, Pixlr, Viber, Whatsapp, Instagram, Facebook and other usual apps for communication and so) is it worth to get this phone or pay more for Samsung J5 (2016) from the point of budget? Cause I have Samsung Galaxy Core for almost 3 years and the lag is killing me for 2 years, hoping to end my lag misery! Thank you!

Thanks for reviews. I think it should have been priced a little lower. Moto G3 is killer in this price. Plus. Asus Zenfone 2 Laser can be a good choice..Waiting for your reviews on it. But yes Screen Quality is Best of Samsung.

HI... Can i sync my Outlook contacts on J 5 I was not able to do so in Redmi 2 , I thought it must not be a feature in Android then. I am a Windows phone user, and heavily use One Note, One Drive. +Saurabh Khanna . Microsoft itself provides many apps to Android users like Office suite, Onedrive, One Note, Outlook, some games and corporative apps. You can see this visiting Google Play Store. You don't need use thirty part or compatible apps to use or manipulate your files.

+RizHail The Lumia 640XL has far better cameras than the Samsung Galaxy J5 in both good as well as low light. There is quite literally no comparison between the two.

How to back all photos to Google Photos in Lumia? i have past 10 years photos on Google which is Google Photos now. please help now switching to OneDrive is not ideal because it will be 5GB vs Unlimited High res on Google Photos. my concern is Auto Google Photos only on Lumia, i will view photos on my Nexus 7 2012..

Well it does have 8Gb of storage but if you root it and get Link2SD. You can move any app to SD card including the data and OBB. :)

hey howzit man. i'm using the same phone and i knew something was wrong with my battery, i took it to samsung but they said nothing is wrong with the phone or battery. my battery life is short, and after watching your video it is very short indeed. when u talk about the battery the percentage is on 66 so it should last 33hrs. I was shocked when i saw this. My brand new phone, which i only purchased this past Saturday, only says it will last 13hrs when on 100 percent. Imagine my frustration after watching your video now. When I browse the internet or listen to music or just browse the phone the percentage depletes by 1 percent every 10mins. I've downloaded greenify and have switched to power saving mode but these haven't helped at all. Can you help me? you think my battery has a fault because Samsung did not detect anything?

+MEGA There is no fault with your battery, use the phone normally, don't keep checking battery life every few minutes and also don't use any battery saving app. Just keep all apps updated and use the phone normally, you'll see great battery life.

+PhoneBunch Yes I think I was being paranoid :) i have seen an improvement now. Yesterday it lasted for hours while listening to music and using whatsapp and bbm. I saw reviews that the battery life will increase with each charge of the phone. But I'd like to know how to get the best out of my battery like at what percentage should I charge it and how do I disable background apps from running ? because they take up a lot of my ram. yesterday 71% of my RAM was being used. Do you have any tips? and how do I update my apps?

my j5 was 60% this morning at 8:00 am. at 12:40 pm it is 40%. so mine uses 20% in 4 hours and 40 min. pretty impressing.

that depends in what type u want to install, u have a total of 8 Gb of internal storage in which u'll find 4 Gb of free memory.. I've heard that there's a 16 Gb version but it depends on the market, u can't find it in the tunisian market for example. ..

Abhinav.. boss I'm too much confused between 2 phones.. Samsung J5 and Samsung Grand Max.. I know that they have SAMOLED and IPS display respectively with more or less same Ppi.. still I want to know is there any difference between their screen? and "regardless of the Android Version upgrade factor" Please guide me which will be better according to you.. thanks..

Galaxy J5's storage is a bummer, but then the Grand Max is running on KitKat which will probably be never updated, then there's no LTE support. The cameras on the Grand Max are better too. Its a difficult choice, but as of today I would rather go with the Moto G3 or Galaxy J7, if neither then the Grand Max.

The display and touch response is better on the Galaxy J5. You'll notice deeper blacks and better colors on the Galaxy J5 and better battery life on J5 on account of it being an AMOLED panel. But that doesn't mean the display on the Galaxy Grand Max is bad, it still has excellent color reproduction and great viewing angles. But an IPS panel of same resolution genrally cannot match how vivid an AMOLED panel looks.

+Dr. Nikhil Moto G3 is better in every aspect apart from the display. There is no match to Samsung's prowess when it comes to display tech, Super AMOLED displays are generally better than IPS and that's the same case here.
