@@letthedeedshaw7541 I think you misread the post. Not the first white baby bison in Yellowstone NP ... but the first surprise this season. Technically, it should have included a comma: "First, the white baby bison in June, now this."

I’ve never been because I have a pretty good fear of wildlife. I’ve always wanted to see Yellowstone though. Is it relatively safe if you’re not dirt stupid? What advice would you give someone who has never been?

What a wonderful thing for our world, along with restoration of grey wolves and other species in Yellowstone, surrounding areas, and other areas. However, I disagree with Andrea Lutz, the reporter, in her hopes that this Grizzly becomes "the next big draw" to Yellowstone.

Looks like they are different sizes, so different ages possibly? Do mother bears take on cubs whose mother may have died? How do you know they are all her cubs?
@rowenamoynihan4753Сағат бұрын
Multiple births often result in stronger/bigger cubs and weaker/smaller cubs.
@alansach8437Сағат бұрын
Kathy: Yes, that has been known to happen. Even when two sows run into one another it isn't unheard of that a cub get confused and leave with the wrong mom. Since they already have cubs of their own they will care for the adopted cub as if it were theirs. Whether or not they even notice they have an extra mouth to feed is unknown.
