Our Peru hummingbird adventure continues at Ollantaytambo and Abra Malaga where we photographed two beautiful endemic hummingbird species: the Bearded Mountaineer and the White-tufted Sunbeam. The Black-tailed Trainbearer, Green and White Hummingbird and the Sparkling Violetear are also featured in this video.

Those rare ones like to live at really high altitudes. At least you didn’t have to hike for days. That White-Tufted Sunbeam is worth the altitude. Good eye William. Gorgeous photos Carole.

Very interesting video. Your pictures are so elegant of the hummingbirds. I loved seeing part of the Inca ruins, very holy land for these birds to live in peace. I always learn something new from your video's. God bless & thank you Carole.

Another informative video with a great cast of hummingbirds. The Giant Hummingbird is beautiful and I love its coloring and those big wings; your pictures and the video are fabulous. The Bearded Mountaineer is another species with such different coloring between the male and female; the male is so beautiful and the female is kind of dull. And, how about that LONG tail of the Blacktailed Trainbearer; does it serve a purpose like in the mating dance of the Marvelous Spatuletail? The Sparkling Violetear is gorgeous while the White-Tufted Sunbeam had very interesting brown coloring. I loved seeing pictures of the Incan ruins. Keep up the great work.

Humming birds are so fascinating my mother loved watching them I am hooked on watching them as well, them humming birds are huge wonder if they ever make it up to the united states?

No, these are only found in the Andes Mountains of South America. I'm making videos of a lot of exciting species of hummingbirds so you may see and learn about them!
