some advice for anyone who finds their subject photo looking a little weird after putting the gradient in it: try going to Filter>Filter Gallery> and choose the cutout option!

Very impressive Marty. I have been waiting for a more advanced one of these, and I sure got it. So if this was actually go to print would you recommend CYMK at 300dpi?

+Urban Deployment 300 dpi, yes. CMYK, not necessary. If you were to have something commercially printed using traditional CMYK color plates (cyan, magenta, yellow & black) and you want to get a more accurate visual reference, then set the Image Mode to CMYK. However, high-end laser & giclee printers can replicate the intensity and vibrancy of RGB colors fairly well.

hi i love your tutorial! probably best one i've seen. quick question i'm using adobe photoshop 2020 and i was wondering where you got the psychedelic shape used mainly in this? the only options i had were trees, animals, and flowers (which i ended up using).

@@carmensalinascortazar7933 you need to go to windows, shapes and then click on the horizontal lines and click on legacy shapes and more, all legacy shapes and go on symbols and then scroll down until you see it

maybe it is because of the depth of the image, it should be 8 bits/channel. go to image then click mode, then change it to 8 bits. then it will be available!

at 01:56 you said that converting it into a smart object allows us to replace it with another image without having to redo all the effects that are added, could you please help me with that process, thank you

At 3:54, double-click the thumbnail of your subject in the Layers panel to open its source image. Replace it with a different subject whose background has been removed just like you did in the original photo. Make sure you hide or delete the original subject. Close the tab of the source image (.psb) and click OK when the message pops ups asking you if you want to replace the original image.

@@BLTV_Photoshop i tried replacing the original image but the new image was unable to move outside the outline of the original one and if i delete the original image then the one of the background colours gets deleted along with it, what do i do?

+The Ginger I did a few of them already. Go to my KZfaq channel & click on the magnifying glass icon (next to “About”). In the “Search Channel” field, type in, “montage”.

What a great tutorial. I downloaded the Bell Bottom Laser font, and it is listed as shareware, free for personal, but no commercial use. I've been trying to search and find where to contact the author of this font set and see what payment for commercial use would be, but can't find that. Font was from 1991. Do you have any ideas how to pay for this for commercial use?
