#Physicalfeaturesof JandK
On the basis of Geomorphic Features ,J&K is Divided into Three Distinct Physical Regions i.e; 1.Jammu , 2. Kashmir & 3. Ladakh
Each of these Regions has Varied Physical Features of its own.
Jammu Region: can be divided into following Physiographic Regions:
1. THE OUTER PLAINS.
2. THE SHIWALIKS.
3. THE MIDDLE HIMALAYAS
1. THE OUTER PLAINS.
THE OUTER PLAINS OF JAMMU AND KASHMIR(SOUTHERN SIDE) IS AN EXTENSION OF THE GREAT INDIAN NORTHERN PLAINS & IS ALLUVIAL IN NATURE.IT STRETCHES FROM RIVER RAVI TO RIVER CHENAB FOR A DISTANCE OF 110KM.IT IS LOCALLY KNOWN AS “ANDERWAH AND BAJWAT”.THESE PLAINS ARE HIGHLY FERTILE AND CLIMATE IS SO FAVOURABLE THAT CULTIVATION OF CROPS IS PRACTICED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
River Streams Draining in The Outer Plains.
Besides Ravi and Chenab The Outer Plains are Drained by Ujh,Basantar, Tawi, Manawar Tawi.
2. THE SHIWALIKS.
Towards the North of The Outer Plains for a distance of 200kms stretch the Shiwaliks- The Youngest Mountains of Sub-Continent.Shiwaliks in J&K are 20-25km in width & 600-1220 meters above sea level(height).The Southern Slopes of Shiwaliks facing the Outer Plains are Gentle, covered with deciduous forests ,evergreen bushes & various scrubs.
The Northern Slopes are steep with thin cover of vegetation.
3. THE MIDDLE HIMALAYAS:
The Middle Himalayas of J&K , locally known as “Pahar”(Mountain), lie between the Ravi River in the East & Punch in the West & continues upto Muzaffarabad. ELEVATION = 3600-4600m above sea level , WIDTH= 10-60 Km with EAST-WEST OrientationAt Tanger, as a Branch Ridge runs due South-West. This Branch is Known as “Trikuta Mountains”, Which is Characterized with Limestone Strata.The Sacred Cave of “ Mata Vaishno Devi” is situated in a Peak of Trikuta Mts.

Though informative, your vedios are of no use....you upload a vedio of 12-16 minutes after a gap of 7-8 days......my request would be to upload at least one vedio a day.
