Funny story - A week ago or so, I took an ambien to go to sleep and I ended up preordering 3 movies on Orbit. Totally forgot about it until the next day when I was looking at my emails and I saw the confirmation emails for Heathers, Silence of the Lambs and that special UK Twister set. They didn’t even have a picture of what it looked like yet because it wasn’t finalized. I was astonished because Twister was literally coming out in a couple days here in the US. I couldn’t cancel the preorder due to Orbit’s policy for preordering so I figured I’ll just have the UK release then. But then when I saw what it actually looked like, I felt like giving my ambien brain a high five because - damn, that’s going to look nice on my shelf. Anyway tl;dr I buy imports on ambien. Lol

By the way, Ken, what do you do for a living? You must be like the president of a company or something to be able to afford all the physical media you purchase.

I bought only one movie during the Prime sale: Das Boot!!!!!! It is a blind buy, but I heard great things about the movie. I also heard the 2k transfer is only so so!

I got a few things, East of Eden 4k, Rio Bravo 4K, Titanic 4K, Spartacus 4k, Remember the Night Bluray, Oppenheimer 4K and the third Hitchcock 4k set. No deals were amazing.

The 2 for 3 deals were better than the prime deals. Primeday is good for New collectors joining in.. they did have RE steelbook 6movie collection for $67 but I passed on it

This man is a legend! His love for Twister has clouded his mind, but otherwise...pure legend. Hey Ken, did you mark your digital code for Revenge but then neglect your fans and not share it? Still a legend.

I actually think the buy 2 get 1 free deals leading up to the prime day sales was a better deal if you can link the right 3 together. But I actually bought a whole bunch of 4k disks for around $10-$12 per movie. I feel like it can't get much lower than that any time soon, so I pulled the trigger on a whole lot of them.

The prime buy 3 for price of 2 deal going on the week prior to prime day was much better. Lots of deals leading up to prime day that made prime day seem a lot more lackluster for me unfortunately. Didn’t buy a single movie on prime day but bought like 10 in the week leading up to prime day🤷🏻‍♀️

My Prime day 4k purchases: The Thing , The Lost Boys, Footloose, Jaws, The Matrix, Full Metal Jacket, Cliffhanger, Willy Wonka (The Original) All those for just under $100.

I wasn't overly impressed with Amazon Days, but did get a few things. I've had the Fright Night 4K steelbook sitting in my saved items forever. At $20, I felt that was probably as good as it was going to get. It was the first time I saw it drop below $25. Plus I'm upgrading from dvd, so I'm looking forward to seeing the jump in quality.

I only bought 4 from Amazon sale: Fugitve, Inception, Blue Beetle and The Flash. Thought about others but feel they will be cheaper during black friday. I did get some from Kino sale. 2 at first and yesterday went back in and got 4 more.

As for the new Rockys, hoping U.S. gets the standards soon. Amazon UK has them available.

In europ we get the steelbook with the poster artwork, so the steelbook in the special edition you talked about, as the normal edition. But we have to wait till october....

I already have most of what I would want that was on sale.

Terminator Salvation got a 4K release in UK. I got it from Zavvi last year.

All I picked up was Fugitive, the rest of my cash went to the Body Double steelbook which I have to have. On a side note, I ordered the Twister steelbook back in may and am still waiting, Amazon said August 9th. Amazon is starting to suck, anyone else having Amazon issues.

Even the ULTIMATE knockout collection is the cheapest possible way they could have sold 6 movies - crappy plastic 4K box in a flimy slipcase. Rocky deserved so much better...

I've had mu twister ce pre ordered for a while , I was actually going to cancel it if it was that disgusting lazy steelbook the usa got recently. This set looks great, so pleased it's the original artwork. I have the German Auro3D, hoping the atmos is an upgrade.

Twister 4ks are not playing in panasonic players. I ordered the steelbook and slip, and both will not play. Just loads the menu screen. It needs to be discussed.

Placed my first order with Gruv for the Rocky 4K box set and it arrived in a paper bag smashed to shit, so needless to say my first order with Gruv was my last.

I'm glad I held off and pre ordered the ZAVVI Twister steelbook collectors edition. I'm trying to be patient and more diligent now. I did not like that green Twister Steebook because the art is so boring, bland, looks cheap and the green kinda makes me🤢 just looking at it.
