I totally agree with your list! Don't forget the paper-like screen protector and a grip for the Apple Pencil! It is a game changer when it comes to comfort taking/drawing your notes for long periods of time :)

Ahhhh yes I forgot to add those! I also got those as well and it’s been super beneficial. The iPad is honestly the best tool for PT school note taking

Hi Justin, just wanted to quickly thank you for posting these videos, particularly the ones re physical therapy (showing us examples and providing demonstrations)! I am currently in my 3rd year of studying physiotherapy in Australia and have found your videos very useful! I just have a question re our knowledge in anatomy, I’m aware that anatomy is important and is a staple in our practice but as a student I am struggling to revise for it, especially when it comes to knowing all muscle attachments, insertions and innervation. Are there any particular areas of the body that I should be placing more emphasis on over others that will be useful in practice and is it important to know every single muscle attachments/insertions? I apologise for the long comment! You are an amazing mentor, keep doing what you are doing!

Thank you so much Luke for your very thoughtful comment! And it is so amazing to hear students from other countries reach out to me. To answer your question, if I were to focus on anything, I would mainly focus on the muscles that are like the really big superficial ones that you hear about a lot. Like the ones in upper arm, chest, abs, back, legs. It is important for school, but in real life, you won’t really need to know the really deep muscles like the deep neck musculature, facial, and forearm. I would also recommend memorizing the nerve roots for each of those

Hi I'm looking to apply to a PTA school! I know you need an associates from the PTA program and then take a lisense exam, but do you have any tips on getting through that? I was really focused on going to USF but they only have a PT program and not a PTA program so I'm pretty lost. Also, after I get my PTA degree, if I end up sick of being a PTA (for some reason), are there other jobs that my degree could be used in? Or at least, be used to make me look better for that job?

Google search “PTA programs near me” and see what shows up. There might be options. For the most part, an AS in PTA will only get your a job as a PTA…

Is the $750 ipad absolutely what you should get or are there cheaper ipads that pretty well do the same? I don't know much on ipads and wasn't sure what the major difference between the 2021 version and the others is. Thanks in advance

I personally think it’s the best one out there. You can look for older models and take the chance, but the last thing you want is a slow iPad that doesn’t have storage when you’re uploading PowerPoints, apps, etc. I remember I was in the same shoes. But I justified it like this: it’s a new chapter from undergrad to doctorate school. This is a big step and I deserve something new to best prepare me for doctorate school

I also think if you try to nickel and dime a couple hundred bucks but then later in the middle of the school year when your iPad lags or reboots or just is super slow, I think the last thing you want is that.. you’ll be super stressed with al your classes and school that at that point, you would have wished you spent a couple hundred bucks to avoid that

I would definitely recommend the iPad. Fully compatible with everything. Make sure you get at least 100 gigs of storage!
