Particle Physicist; cosmology, with an undergrad in molecular biology. The topic of discussion was the driving force for my career physics. Science is by far our greatest tool in proving intelligent design. There is far more of us out there than the scientific community would lead you to believe. Thoroughly enjoyed the upload.

An Agnostic acquaintance of mine schooled in "hard science" mocks me for believing in God, because, "If you believe in God, you'll believe in anything." Not only is that ridiculous at face value, but what makes her think that her belief in "Chance" is without the very same possibility of believing in "anything"? Idolatry. To Jeremy's point, she has overly invested in her own devices as to it being THE Answer of All Answers. Yes, she wants proof of God for her 5 Senses, but her explanation of the Origin of the Universe is: "The principles were there in order for life to begin." "How were they there?", I asked. She just sat there with a blank look on her face. My answer for my albeit limited knowledge is: Faith. Not without Science. Her answer is: "We know...." False. She believes the theories without "God" are true, but they are patently unknowable according to her overly invested devices. She has "faith", but won't dare admit it. Hmmmm...

"Faith is the excuse Theists use when they dont have a good reason. If you had a good reason you wouldn't use faith." M. Dillahunty...Faith is just believing what you want to believe because you want to believe. Scientific Theories have demonstrable, testable and repeatable evidence. Your God doesn't.

@@j3rutej3alla30 - I've watched Matt, appreciate his overall approach, helped me become a better thinker, but he's wrong about that. And being a condescending @ss. Who is he to have the corner market on "good reason"? Does he "know" the origin of the universe? Does he put his trust in theories that are unproven, yet soothe his ignorant mind? You know, like religious people do! If you ( and Matt ) aren't intellectually honest to admit the limitations of "Science" AND the fanatical worshipers thereof, then you can go on calling it whatever you want, but it sure reeks of Faith, sorry, Trust, to me. BTW: I reject your watered-down dismissive definition of Faith. I don't believe anything I want to just because I want to. How amazingly simplistic of an assumption you reduce your thinking to. Your point on Scientific Theories is what, exactly? Testable vs God who you want to show up every time you want to "test" Him? Don't tell me you insist on the Universe and Truth being ONLY contained within "Science"! How arrogant, yet common among Atheists. Actually, you and Matt are religious in your own way, claiming it's entirely rational, when in fact you worship Certainty of Your Own Making. You are virtual gods. The End.

True, Jeremy England🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿! Atheism is irrational for many reasons, and one of the reasons is because atheism is a denial of sth for which there is lots of evidence and doesn't offer any reasons for the denial & disbelief of God's existence

evidence of what? and based in what? Faith? I see no evidence of the existence of an anthropocentric god, such as the one of Christian, Islamic and Jewish faiths. I would say that A LOT of recent discoveries are actually showing it is really unlikely that such a god may exist, actually.

i was thinking, believers often assume humans are the center of God's attention. Yet we are not. God is himself's center of attention since he is auto-suffisent. Everything happens for his glory first, then for others. If he isn't there for hismelf first, what other "powerful being" can be for him then. We humans are only 2nd, not first !! Now thoses who are going to say God is selfish; how could he be all powerfull if he is not auto-suffisent( so carring for himself 1rst) in first place. He is the most important, always and will always be. He is absolutely perfect in everyway.
