This probably could have been said better and less clumsily, but it’s off the cuff and the overall point being made is a solid one.

Particle Physicist; cosmology, with an undergrad in molecular biology. The topic of discussion was the driving force for my career physics. Science is by far our greatest tool in proving intelligent design. There is far more of us out there than the scientific community would lead you to believe. Thoroughly enjoyed the upload.

I liked what he said about a picture of a rainbow in black & white only showing one part of the picture. There is so many things that we can't see from just one perspective.

An Agnostic acquaintance of mine schooled in "hard science" mocks me for believing in God, because, "If you believe in God, you'll believe in anything." Not only is that ridiculous at face value, but what makes her think that her belief in "Chance" is without the very same possibility of believing in "anything"? Idolatry. To Jeremy's point, she has overly invested in her own devices as to it being THE Answer of All Answers. Yes, she wants proof of God for her 5 Senses, but her explanation of the Origin of the Universe is: "The principles were there in order for life to begin." "How were they there?", I asked. She just sat there with a blank look on her face. My answer for my albeit limited knowledge is: Faith. Not without Science. Her answer is: "We know...." False. She believes the theories without "God" are true, but they are patently unknowable according to her overly invested devices. She has "faith", but won't dare admit it. Hmmmm...

Yes, scientists should stay humble; no, prematurely filling in the blanks doesn't constitute humility.

We devise things like the laws of physics to explain...as throughout history we have devised a multitude of gods to explain...from whence comes humility in an explanation that places humanity as a gods most precious creation?
