very informative, I am working on a similar problem for lakes in India. The lab test results reveal very interesting information. I have also taken part in a river hydrophone study to identify the mammals in water

Please let me know what device can we use to detect sound waves in utility pipeline 8 feet underground connected with an empty pipe at ground level 50 feet away?

hey! three db is twice power. or a factor of ten. its logarithmic. i dont get -6db being half power. ?????

Here it should been said to be half of the pressure not power, you're right: 10log10(((1/2)*p/preference)^2)= 20*log10(1/2) +....... = -20log10(2) + ..... = -6,... +......
