I started serious guitar play in 1961, so I was around when this guitar was made, in and out of music stores, etc. I do not remember any Fenders that came brand new with a mint green pick guard. Fender had two colors back in the early-to-mid sixties, and those were white or turtle shell, and I am fairly sure of that. Could be wrong. But I think those two were it. The white probably turned a bit green as it aged. Of course, nowadays, you can get all kinds of colors from aftermarket. These guitars might benefit from changing out the ONE MEG volume control to a 250k, just surmising, on that. Thanks for showing us this Jaguar ... it is a gorgeous axe. And very nice playing. And Jesus saves. And time is running out.
