They're so easy, when I was a teenager my parents put one on the alcohol cabinet and I figured out how to pick it without a tutorial or anything. If a 17 year old with no lock picking experience can open one in fifteen minutes with a safety pin and a paper clip, you know you've got a problem.

Most people are into it for fun, like solving a Rubik's cube. It's about the challenge and being able to use it in emergencies (not implying Rubik's cube solving will help in emergencies). Yeah, you have the occasional oddball here and there, but when it comes down to it, forcing entry into a home is more fast and convenient than spending an hour trying to pick a lock you've never had the time to practice on before.

Most digital locks for doors also have a lock as well on them I guess. And if not then use the picks as a screw driver and open up the lock and hotwire it I guess
