29:36 that's a South Africa plate with what looks like a rego sticker from Gauteng (most populous province in the country) so safe to assume where you are at is the "everywhere that's not sent from Japan" area.

At 23:25 the Fargo van is an Isuzu brand. But it think it’s really a Nissan underneath - some type of licensing agreement between Nissan and Isuzu.

The Fargo van was sold in the U.K. as a Bedford midi, (Vauxhall), It had an Isuzu engine for sure so was probably manufactured by Isuzu.

Nick, about the Mini at 31:35 you said you were kind of neutral about them? If you drive one, that would change really quickly. They handle so good and they’re so much fun to drive. They’re like a big go kart.

Turns out all those TACT Defenders (29:35) are Custom Rebuilds on old Land Rovers. Their website has all their inventory atm and there's some 70,000-120,000$ builds... the ones you were looking at were expensive. 1988-1999 are the years on their inventory right now.

I'm an ex Landrover employee worked for them over 15 year's. The defenders Nick at the very newest.could be a Dec 2015. They were all handbuilt between a 100 to a maximum of 500. The very last was made mid January 2016 and all made in January went to.Twisted something like 250.and the Royal family and the very last is owned by Landrover Heritage. The latest defender went on sale here mid 2019. The first Landrover you looked at doesn't have UK plates on it so didn't come from here suppose it could have been shipped from here .

4:56-- i think that road course outline on the back of the blue AZ-1 Is imola formula 1 race track in italy. Had to do some digging on the web to find out. It was bugging me cause it looked familiar but i couldn't remember what race track it was....and theres a bunch of cars there i'd love to take home..... starting with the AZ-1. right hand drive could be a great theft deterrent.

the wagon r in uk was a gm car also vauxhall agila based on the wagon r we had both. even bedford uk brand back in the 80's maybe pushing early 90's bedford rascal was a a kei van size but it had a bigger engine for uk market but based off a kei van i guess under licence

Recently, there are more and more places to dispose of old Japanese cars that we are not interested in, and the purchase price of used cars in Japan is rising accordingly. Thanks to this, I can sell my car for a high price, so I can switch to a new car every year.

a company in uk they totally restore old defenders to what ever level you want and as modern as you request. they can be old but be brand new condition. sadly they stopped making them and that same company now has started to move on to jimnys also. also was a very rich person who bought over 200 of them before they just stopped selling them and kept in storage now he going to make millions as value on then very high. the uk has few company's what turn old cars new and even re shell them like mini remastered it a classic mini with classic looks but upto date inside the frame shell more ridged and made a tad more streamline by removing the gutters but they not cheap you give then a donor car it comes out a new car over 1000 hours work on it and starts at £75k to £130k that is a lot for a classic mini. so uk has specialists company's doing a top job on these older cars and not surprise me if you see some tho in the ports

America's🇺🇸 booming economy after1983 started a European car craze in the 1980's. People wanted bmws/ mercedes/ European luxury cars. It went as far as Lincoln trying to sell there Mark 7 with a bmw diesel engine and ford coming out with merkur brand witch is just the german spelling of mercury. Go figure. Japan car company's took noice of all this going on and so the Japanese luxury cars started with acura ( honda) opening 60 dealerships in March of 1986. With the legend and the integra. Eventually the legend name grew to the point it was overshadowing the hell outta acura brand itself so in 1996 the came out with the RL ( refined luxury)as the replacement. Acura was planning on being sold in japan around 2008 but the economy fell into a recession and honda scrapped the plans. So it L👀ks like acura is still not sold in japan. both lexus and infinity were created in 1989 for North America only. Mazda wanted a peice of the 🍰 pie, and in 1991 announced that they were gonna make a luxury brand called AMANTI along with autozam brand. But the Japanese economy crashed in 1992 and it made mazda kill the amanti brand in October of 1992. There 1st car was going to be the AMANTI millennia. But that car was just rebaged as a mazda. Infinity started selling cars in Europe in 2008. And started selling in japan in 2013. Lexus started selling in Europe a couple months after they were introduced in the 🇺🇸 usa. And started selling Lexus cars in japan in 2005. You'd think they'd be selling Japanese luxury cars over there japan🇯🇵 atleast starting in the 1990's. But The economy crash that happened in japan and the consumer culture differences between japan and the 🇺🇸 usa is probably why.

If you do a little bit of research and look into buying these on your own you can buy them for less than half of what they are selling them for my buddy picked up to really reasonable just got a finagle the system a little bit and you'll save tons of money

I'd love to see you get your hands on a WagonR RR some day, they're slept on a bit but are a great early sports kei to get into since there's a lot of them around in japan, which means there's reasonable parts availability. I like to think of it as the car the Daihatsu Move Aerodown Custom was built to compete with, just a fantastic body style with tons of room inside. The automatic versions of the RR were somewhat generously geared with overdrive and the turbo is a lot of fun.
