I'm watching this with my VFR purchased last summer all prepped and ready in the garage for when the restrictions are lifted. I could really feel the excitement of that 'new bike feeling' coming through. Enjoy the Africa Twin!

Just picked up mine between Xmas and new year same colour with top box. Difference is that it was cold wet and raining. Can’t wait to get on roads like that in the sunshine. Derbyshire is stunning

Nice bikes.... I've owned a 2005 vfr800 for the last 4yrs ...very happy with it.. Put on 18000kms...no problems.... Get the sergent seat big difference in comfort level from stock... Michelin power pilot tires suit this ride perfectly... Would also advise voltmeter wired directly to the battery so you can keep an eye on charging system. Goin to be adding a soundbomb horn this year as OEM horn is useless as are most OEM motorcycle horns. VFR800 really is an excellent all round bike.

Great stuff. Jeez Richy your friend looks like your long lost younger brother! I often think it would be good for an experienced rider to go out with and experienced rider and talk about what they see and what they are thinking as they ride. Did it once and the other rider was amazed by how much was going on while riding, especially reading behaviours etc. I suppose when your younger you just want to get out there though. Hope it goes well for him.

Well, the superbike factory certainly hasn't changed 5yrs later, it's still quantity over quality.

He did really well getting a nice bike from the Superbike factory and I must admit I’d be quite happy never to do cat and fiddle on any bike ride I can’t stand the place it’s either cold wet windy or somebody’s fell off the bike

Would you say the VFR800 is a good bike to start on? I have been looking at a CBR600F, but I like the VFR aswell...is the power uncontrollable? would you be able to give any insight int the matter, would be appreciated....cheers in advance mate

Hi! :) I'm interested in the VFR. I did find 2 bikes... but I'm not sure of byuing any of them because the first one is said to be a 2007 model, but is painted in the cool white+black scheme, which (as far as i know) is only for vfr from 2009 -i think this means the bike was seriously damaged in a fall and rebuild...And the second one is a 2006 vfr claimed to be a vtec but according its documents is from January06 and i think the vtec is mounted in vfr late 2006... I need some clues from passionate vfr riders. Please, help me with some advices! :( Also...i wonder if it is a suitable bike for a tall rider? (above 195 cm) ? :(

how reliable is the vfr800? alot of people say their are problems with the vtec systeam

I have an identical bike to the red one. However, I wouldn't dream of having that big red fridge stuck on the back. It absolutely ruins the look of the bike. Get it removed asap lad!
