I was test driving the Genesis manual the other day, the engine sounds really similar to a 2006 3.6 liter Flat-6 Porsche 911S. Hyundai has really hit a home run with this powertrain!

Congratulations on the new ride man. I am a huge fan of your videos and it is refreshing to see someone who actually pays attention to detail. Despite how much i like the "American Muscle" per say, i definitely think a 3.8 genesis Grand Touring is a true gentlemans automobile. Almost 5 years and people still commenting like if kyle just got this car. He got it back in 2010, sold it in 2011, got a buick roadmaster, sold it, and now he has a dodge charger R/T, and a chevy avalanche. He bought that hyundai probably because he liked it and wanted something different, no big of a deal. Now lets get real: Hyundais have evolved a lot since 2009/2010. They are more reliable . i have a friend with a 2010 tucson (first gen) and never had an issue with that thing. The new hyundais are better looking, better quality than before, and they are great for people on budgets. Now, personally, i wouldn't buy one, just because its still just a hyundai, their interior quality is still inferior compared to japanese, european and even american cars, and, where i live (somewhere in latin america), they are the most mainstream cars ever. They are almost everywhere. When i hear of someone that bought themselves a new hyundai or kia product im just like, meh. I actually feel happier if a person bought a corolla lol. BTW, some people here have to get over themselves and stop bitching about someone else's personal preference. Its not your problem, so why worry and bitch?

Congrats on the new car. I was shopping for a new car last year and it came down to: Genesis 3.8 track vs WRX premium 5 door. I ended up buying the WRX because of: 1. the superior performance 2. Space (5 doors = lots of room, especially with the seats down), 3. 2.9% interest rate on 6 years and. 4. AWD (I drive up north in the winter quite often and having a sports car that can handle any snow storm is truly amazing). enjoy your ride!

I remember when I got my first Genesis. Fell in love with it when I saw it online for sale. Then made love to it first time I hit the throttle. lol

And the award for the best manual transmissions made in the car business goes to HONDA! The stick in the Genesis coupe is notchy, doesn't like the be rushed through the gates, imprecise, and the clutch has a tricky engagement point! Glad you got the 3.8L V6 tho, bc the turbo 4 is just awful. Overall, nice choice! Mine would be either red or blue with a wing out back tho! lol

When you first started the Genesis up, it sounded like the Lexus did. The beep when you lock and unlock the car with the key fob reminds me of the Lexus as well. Congrats on the new car.

I remember picking up my 3.8 GT. Red with the same saddle brown seats. Re badged it properly and it turns heads. Flow master, injen, and BTR reflash later and It still surprises me.

I Felt the same way Kyle when I picked up my 07 prius. Such a digital car everything was nice and I loveed it. 2 days after I brought it home I was driving on the highway and semi truck merged into me on the highway without signaling. The car was smashed into the guard rail and after it was squished into the guard rail every airbag deployed and I got out of the car. And called the emergency services. I cried for days. Over the loss of my beautiful prius I had to go back to driving a worn out Ho

I have a 2013 2.0t coupe fun car! I wish the exhaust sounded a bit more aggressive. The sound induction sounds good up to about 4000rpm then sounds like a stressed out corolla engine, the 14's added a new intake sound, fog lights rev matching and 70 more pounds. 2015 should be amazing

I just went to the hyundai dealership to set up for a test drive of one of these this coming week because i'm thinking of picking one of these or a Mercedes C350 up this coming september when i move to the west coast and your video just got me so excited because my gf and best friend have been leaning towards me picking up the Genesis and my business is starting to take of so this may be the car I get and your vids may be credited to that. You made a really good choice picking this car I'm not going to lie its just beautiful. I remember last year when my dad was buying his sonata I tagged along just to be able to sit in one. The car is Fabulous and currently I have to say with all there new cars Hyundai is my favorite car company. So once again I say Congrats on your purchase and I like like the white color, I was expecting white to look kind of weird on it but now If I ever get one(hopefully) I will consider white as a color.

Wow, Hyundai's come a LONG way from where they USED to be... in fact, I remember riding in a brand-new 1994 Hyundai Sonata with a buddy of mine when the shifter came right off the gearbox... and we were doing nearly 85 MPH on the freeway! God, I nearly peed on myself when I saw the look on his face and the shifter in his hand! Looking at Hyundai NOW though, I'd actually think about getting one in the future, I mean that Genesis almost looks like an Infiniti G37 coupe... impressive

Beautiful Genesis Coupe! Even though most people pick Mercedes or BMW which are nice German vehicles as well, but it's the maintenance that's the killer, that's why some you see on the side of the road or in a parking lot not running, they just had enough money to afford the car note and insurance and not the maintenance that's the kicker. That's why Honda, Toyota's and Hyundai have 100 of thousands of miles on their vehicle, Reliability and luxury, Lexus is good at this. A lot of people like to look wealthy but their bank account is screaming negative funds otherwise lol.

No, he sold this car almost a year ago. He was tired of paying for it every month and just didn't want a sports car as a daily driver. He has a 1995 Buick Roadmaster Limited as his primary car now, plus the 1965 Ford Fairlane he got last year and just bought a 1995 Buick Riviera about a month ago! So he now has 3 cars he truly loves.
