picking up my brand new ktm duke 200 from the dealership! i got this bike to surprise my brother with since he has been wanting a street bike a lot recently.

He can also just turn it off by the key, saves him kill switching it and forgetting it’s on if he doesn’t go to take the key out straight away. But some people argue and say it’s good to kill switch so in an emergency u don’t automatically reach for the key 🤷‍♂️

So the guy riding it after you bought it,is that your younger brother,if so Kool for getting him his first duke,I wished I had bought one sooner when I started riding,but it's ok I'm saving up for my 2024 duke 390,I may just get me a loan from my bank to get myself one,I love the 200,good way for a person to learn an see if they stick with it an not overly too powerful or super fast like the bigger bikes but still have to be careful what you do an watch out for cars cause they watch for bike riders,nice video an have fun an enjoy your new duke an stay safe on your two wheel adventures,it's the best therapy there is,just going riding relaxes me.

@@MalachiJetter ,your welcome an thank you as well,I plan on it an man I've picked the Atlantic blue,I just think that color suits me well,I do plan on putting on some monster energy drink decals on it an hopefully get sponsors,I also think this bike could handle the tail of the dragon bro up in North Carolina since it's a manual an so flickable,glad your brother loves his bike,an ty for the info after a few hundred miles it'll open up even more.

I have the 390 Duke KTM. It's awesome. Hi from Brisbane Australia 🎉🎉 those 200s are probably one of the best value motorcycles in the world. After it's first service it goes much better without the limiter on. Your correct they are like a dirt bike. That looks like it has the Michelin road 5s on it . Excellent tyres in the dry or wet. Keep well.😊

do you know how many miles before the limiter turns off?

@@MalachiJetter the first service. In the USA I think it's about 600 miles. But I have the 390 so I'm not sure if the 200 has the limiter but I think it would.

@MalachiJetter it's at 621 miles, and then you can go in and change the rpms you can't turn a speed limiter on or off on the duke 200s they won't at a shop either it's there to protect the engine from blowing up. Max speed is like 85mph.

Just got a r7 yesterday never been on a street bike never rode 1 took it out today only stalled twice n I'm a small guy 59 145 knock on wood no problems yet. I rode pretty much everything else on 2 wheels to snowmobiles if u know how a manual works n be very scared lol you'll b good or at least I've been.... not gonna lie every time I go to get on it I start shaking lol so end up waiting 15 mins to chill 😅

this is actually a 2023 i just put 2024 for the title but it was only discounted in certain countries

Your going to regret getting such a small Bike, literally after 2-3 rides. You should have bought used since you could’ve gotten for dirt cheap. Then, after you’re bored with your little beginner bike, you can buy your bike that you’re gonna keep for a long time at the dealership

It’s for his younger brother bro who cares, it’s his first introduction to riding on the street properly. Especially if he don’t got a car, riding a big bike daily is just a money pit in maintenance. Cause he’s young assuming he makes minimum wage money then it’s perfect, it won’t eat tires, sprockets and chains as fast and it’s good on gas.

mike pretty much touched on every single reason why i went with something so small, if it was for myself i would’ve gotten a 600, but i do still think small bikes can be really fun sometimes

Thinking about getting one for a first bike I’ve ridden 250 and 450 dirt bikes plenty, only rode a ZX10 once. Can I have yalls opinion, I live in a small town literally one end to the other is 15 miles if that

@tyh2975 if your town is really that small you will be fine, but i honestly recommend a 300. this bike is really easy to get bored of really fast
