Watch as Philipp Rehm demos some of the killer tones that are available from the John Taylor Signature model. Which pickup configuration would you choose? #fannedfrets #nevepreamp #bass

Wow, I can still hear that bass sound, even without headphones and just using the speaker directly from my smartphone. 😊👍🏻

The bridge + neck combo sounds phenomenal.

Nice. It would be interesting to play in ways that accentuate the differences too. I like the “woof” of a neck pickup, especially picked up by the neck. I could kind of hear a Jazz bass like scoop of the bridge plus neck too. The more bridge based settings are a bit twangy, not so favorite here…

I love this signature model, just waiting on a couple new color schemes!
@DingwallGuitarsАй бұрын
what colour would you like ?
@dasgre0gАй бұрын
@@DingwallGuitars good question.... Maybe like a chrome silver with ice blue striping? I was thinking "what if Nick Rhodes played bass for one show .."

Agreed love the model but not big on the colors.
@classgrooves61723 күн бұрын
Forest green, midnight blue, maybe a colour shift or aquaflake like the D-Rocs. A solid/plain matching headstock would be nice

The Rio Dream cranberry colour would be cool for the ready to play line. I’d defo get the 5 string

That Neve preamp is amazing - I played a JT in the Dingwall booth at NAMM 2024 and man, the variations were astounding, and the rich full tone! When will the Neve preamp be available to purchase separately? I want to put it in all my Dingwall basses!

Sounds tasty! 😋 Let’s see the black one in action

I'll be honest, I always end up liking pure bridge for everything I do on bass. Pokey bright and nasal, cuts hard, tight.

The bass player from Nuclear Assault would agree with you. Double P is super cool because you get more of that P output using the bridge solo. Bernie Rico really has that right in the 70s.

Does the new bridge change the tone a lot compare to the one piece on the NG ? I feel like this bass is closer to my DRoc 5 than the NG. The JT sound "stiffer", the note pop more and has less agressivity too

I got the exact model this week from John Fox Bass and it's awesome! The sounds you can get with the different pickup configurations is crazy. The preamp is super transparent and I adore the always-on tone control. Bravo Dingwall, Neve, and of course John Taylor.

Oh very nice, I've watched to buy a bass from him. He's relatively close by

@@Lance37a Highly recommended, great guy. He went above & beyond for my Dingwall purchase. I'm local as well, so saved on shipping and it was cool to see his INSANE collection / inventory.

@@Lance37aI also suggest going to John Fox bass! Went there recently and was blown away by the inventory. Great guy too, can’t recommend him enough.

I bought an MG bass from John Fox last year. He was awesome to work with.

Bridge + Neck is a cool combination. It's in series here, right? BTW, is it possible to order those pickups from Dingwall? I want to upgrade my NG2 to a 3-pickup version, but those stock upgrade kits are hard to find, Nordstrand don't do custom order for Dingwalls, and I don't know any other manufacturers who make those rounded soapbar pickups.
