You've been such an inspiration to me. To be honest, I found your channel during the onset of my eating disorder. I was out looking for healthy food and recipe videos because I had become obsessed with trying to be 'healthy'. I was diagnosed with anorexia last year, but during my recovery, i've realised how much your videos have helped me. You don't count calories and you've emphasized how we can always treat ourselfves once in a while and that no food should be labeled bad. You've helped me change my mindset that all food is good because they don't just nourish the body but also the mind and soul. I think it's cause many people often understands word "easy" not only in "how little time and effort it takes" but also "how affordable it is". And let me tell you that most of those ingredients are quite expensive. All sorts of nuts, most types of berries. Maybe in her country it's different, but for most - you can't call this an easy and accessible breakfast.
@mmtruooao83775 жыл бұрын
@@SpanishOxid I agree. The berries I can see being accessible if you pick them, but store bought berries are expenisve, the oats are pretty easy to get, plant milk is expensive, the nuts are expensive. The granola and yogurt are okay if you're prepping for a week or two in advance, not if you're waking up to make a morning meal, but the first recipe is quite involved and more complex. Most of these ingredients can be substituted for a locally available version, but not everyone is able to access (or on board with the push towards) plant based diets.

this is hands down the best granola I've made so far. Thank you so much. I've been making my own granola for 2 years now, never being quite satisfied with the amount of clusters I achieved by using a justifiable amount of liquid sweetener and oil. This one however came out in a breakable block, so I might consider baking some granola bars by slightly increasing the moisture of the tahini-date-mixture. As I don't really like coconut flakes in my breakfast and because I had no sunflower/sesame seeds at hand, I substituted them with sesame seeds (does well with tahini of course) and puffed amaranth I found somewhere at the back of my cupboard. edit: I do prefer no dried fruit in my granola, but I just now found out that it works too if simply mixed with the tahini and dates. - Got the same variety of vitamins etc by using different dried fruits, but I can eat wonderful granola without dried fruit bits.

What do you eat when you travel? Many airbnbs have kitchens but the seasonings are not healthy. How to cook when u want to be super quick and prepare stuff and carry along as you travel? I can prepare stuff at home like a premix, add hot water with some easy stuff from supermarket.

Okay I made the yogurt bars today. They are currently freezing. They are so easy to make! I had to use half peanut butter because I only had half the amount of almond butter and I blended my fruit after cooking it down but other than that I followed the recipe! I used a cherry berry mix and all the layers taste great. I can’t wait to try it all together tomorrow for breakfast. I’m a busy mom so this will be great for me! Edited to add the flavor when I tried a little yogurt with the berry mix tasted like cheesecake so yum!

Hi Sadia! Just letting you know that I used to work in a place that made me miserable. The only thing I was looking forward to in that job was my break times because that meant meal time and I used to meal prep your dishes. Delicious and a wonderful way to relax and enjoy your dishes. My workmates were even surprised about my, oh so good looking Tupperwares haha. I still cook your wonderful recipes but those months were extra special. Thanks so much 💛

I’ve never tried making tofu scramble until I saw your recipe. It’s been my breakfast for two weeks in a row now. So yummy. I just do the tofu and veggies in a wrap. Today I added a little kala namak to the scramble. It gave it an eggy taste. Just like scrambled eggs. Yum yum

"Oh my God, holy shit, are you kidding me, yes, looks so f-ing good" are the sorts of things that came out of my mouth watching this. Equally for the delicious factor and the healthy factor. Plus the reasonably easy to find ingredients and reasonably easy steps. Like eating at a fantastic, popular vegan restaurant but at home. You so deserve every subscriber you have, Pick Up Limes. Off to the grocery store!!

I live in Russia (Moscow) and it's not easy to find a vegan yoghurt here and it's quite expensive. I mean you can't just go and buy it in a local market, that's sad :(

Helen S. It’s very easy to make your own! Just add probiotic capsules to whatever plant based milk you prefer. There are quite a few recipes online. Vegan yogurt is very expensive here in America as well.

Not sad at all! If humans realized what we put in and on our bodies vs. the cost of medical expenses and disease we would all spend our last dime on a whole foods/ plant based diet!
