For the number of stitches required to cast on, do you count only the stitches on the needle excluding the picot stitches?

Very well done. I mean, really. Why can't everybody explain it this clearly?

I'm wondering why you cast on five, bind off two at first, but then after transferring the one stitch back to the left on each repeat, you only cast on three more stitches, so it seems like you're working with four and not five. Do you always need an extra stitch at the beginning? Thank you.

they video was fast for me cn you do a slow one

I found it difficult to follow at my beginner speed. Showing it slowly a couple times prior to quickly putting stitches on would be helpful.

Takes much too long, and more complicated than the long tail.
