It’s not likely to meet someone in the Hollywood business (even if it’s only reporting on it) from your hometown, which is in a far away foreign area, opposed to being in Hollywood. On top of it, his hometown is just that, a town, with only 3,000 people.

The kid who grew up across the street from me spent the better part of a day with Brosnan and very few others. Pierce truly does sound like a great guy. Easily the nicest actor to ever play bond. Pierce Brosnan is known for being one of the nicest men in Hollywood and this interview shows it. During his time on Bond, I remember reading that he would take time out of his day to say hello to everyone working on the set and never turn down an autograph whenever he walked through airports. His movies weren't always the best but he was a great bond and did what he could with the material he was given.

This is so emotional. Pierce Brosnan finding out his interviewer is from the same place as his home week he grew up, recounting his memories. This is so lovely and heartwarming. PB is such a kind, gentle and lovely/loving man who is a legendary actor and person. I hope he lives long and well. Also, I had no idea he was from Ireland. I’d heard him in films with him cast on but never picked up on it. Such a soft accent for a lovely man

It's so funny for me because I essentially don't have a natural accent, I'm canadian, my father's half english, my mother's american, and I study accents and dialects as a hobby and passion, so when I'm not concentrating, I'll switch between about four different ones without really thinking about it. It's absolutely bizarre to listen to the first time you meet me, I'm told.

My mom's been living for over 35 years away from her hometown, where they speak a whole other accent. But every time she meets her sister or brother, her accent goes immediately back to the one she had when she was still living in her hometown. 😁

@@malikastone Obviously I have an accent, my point was I don't have a singular, "natural" accent anymore, because my current accent is an amalgamation of several that now come naturally to my tongue. You kind of just ignored what I was saying, to make a point that contradicts something I literally did not say, but go off. I'm not like pissed off but you genuinely missed the entire point of the comment I made. Everyone has an accent, but mine is unrecognizable now from what it would be if I didn't study accents constantly. My comment, if you'd actually read it, states that I don't have a "natural accent", not that I don't have AN accent.

@@thareelhelloagain you definitely have an accent, you just can't hear it. I've lived outside of Canada for over a decade. After being away so long I can now hear the Canadian accent and it's very distinct. Different accents too depending on where in Cda you're from and your cultural background ie. Black/White Canadians, Caribbean ancestry, European ancestry etc.
