I got my snake eyes when I was around 14 or 15. If I knew I was gonna loose half a tooth and chip one in the front... I wouldn’t have gotten it. It would hurt randomly too. It was so cute but had so many problems. I didn’t have this problem with my other tongue piercings

I can’t believe how people can live with a piercing so close to their eyes. I have a dermal on my cheek and I can see it all the time and I find it annoying.

I've never reacted to anything the way I reacted to finding out eyelid piercings were a thing. Full body heebie jeebies over here 😷😷

I've had my smiley for 4 years now, no problem, no migration, only small indents in my gums. i love it but i know i have to take it out some day. if i have noticeable dents in my gums i'll just have a memory of a loved piercing i had.

I had the snake eyes . The day I got it , I went to a party & tried drinking (alcohol of course) and my tongue was so swollen I struggled with swallowing & almost choked on it lol it BURNED ! I still took small sips thru a straw tho 😅 Next traumatic experience I had was about 2wks later .. I lost taste only on the tip of my tongue 😭 I was freaking tf out ! I called the piercing & what does he tell me ? "I don't knooow" and I can hear the slight panic in his voice which was not comforting ! I still kept it in tho & just took the L . But I love food .. food tastes awesome if you didn't know ... so of course I was devastated . Well ..... One day , I got me a good ole Italian BMT sandwich from Subway . Italian herbs & cheese bread . Pepper jack cheese . Lettuce , pickles , jalepenos , banana peppers , & hot sauce . That's what I always order . Walked home , settled into my bed ready to dig in .. partially cause .. taste . I took a bite ... The taste of my robust , spicy & tangy sandwich came FLOODING in !! Maaan I started crying and chewing at the same time i was SOOOO GRATEFUL & HAPPY !! Happy is an understatement ! Shit ! 😄 So I officially got my taste back .

ive had my smiley pierced for 5 years now and I wear a horse shoe 😅 Play with it and twist it all the time with no issues... I will say im considering a smaller bar as its discoloured my teeth a little bit but tbh they didnt look great before the piercing 🤷🏻‍♀️

I've had 3 of the 4 pictured here. Worst one was the "snake eyes" piercing. Worst pain! I have a "anti eyebrow" piercing with a curved barbell. I've had it for 9 years without any issues. I have also had a "smiley" too. I took it out after a year or so. It was irritating.

Anti eyebrow was one of my favorite piercings! I’d get it again. It never had issues and was super cute. I had a curved bar for it. I had taken it out while I was in military. Got tired of the in-and-out daily. Just got lazy and let it heal closed.

I have had my smiley pierced for over a year now. No issues with bioplast jewellery. It doesn't dig in to my gums or cause any irritation (for me anyhow). The important thing to note with it is that it should be changed every few months as it could harbor bacteria. They aren't super pricey either. Do you guys have any further info on bioplast? I'd love to hear it! All my oral piercings have that in so that I don't damage my teeth or gums. (: You guys rock.

I’ve had my smiley done for about 2 years now. I did it myself (ik what you’re think that’s a horrible idea) it healed perfectly and my dentist said that there has been no damage. I have silicone balls in which is the better option if you choose to have it long term. The metal balls will start to rub on your teeth and eventually cause damage.

I had my smiley piercing for a year and there was literally 0 problems. The only reason I took it out bc I was bored of it

Had my smiley pierced for a little under a year and I loved it! However, it was pretty much impossible not to play with it especially with a horseshoe ring in, and I did have occasions where the balls would just fall off in my mouth (sometimes whilst eating) 🤢 which was stressful because you have to stop what you are doing and locate it in your mouth before you swallow it and then proceed to spit it out which isn't the most lovely thing to witness in public I'm sure 😅 I thought it looked pretty badass, but my parents certainly disagreed. Would totally do it again, even just for a few months 👌

I had my smiley pierced for 3 years and I was completely fine nothing went wrong (but yet again people have different reactions to different piercings) the only thing I would say would be the worst thing about it was the bar bell balls falling out during eating or even getting loose from brushing my teeth over time and how small the balls where and really difficult to put back in with my nails done..🙄

I agree with the smiley rubbing against the gums and teeth. I had to take mine out because it was rubbing my gum. Could possibly be because of the jewelry and always playing with it but l had to ditch it

yeah I just did my smiley a week or so ago and it got infected :/ Ive never had any other issues with piercing myself though, I did my nostirl a few months ago and it healed fine I love it

I've had my smiley done for like 6-8 years now. I've never have had a problem but I do not play with it except to clean it and I didnt get a hoop because the piercing was for me and no one else so I didnt need the hoop and plus didnt want my teeth ruined.

Ive had my smiley for 5 years I get my teeth checked regularly due to this and if they notice my teeth getting damaged I'm going to remove it. But so far I've had no issues. However I've had a friend who had hers for a few months and it caused her teeth to start rotting. So its different for everyone. Just because it worked for you don't mean it will work with everyone.

I’m kinda glad I don’t have real front teeth and just loads of fillings on them cause my smiley is too cute to get rid of 🤷🏽‍♀️

I have a smilie and a snake eyes & have had them for years with no problems. I think it depends on how it’s pierced and the person pierced. My dentist makes no complaints & says I have beautiful teeth.

i had a smiley for two years, only issue I had with it was that I somehow always managed to swallow it so I went through a ton of jewelry. I took it out for that reason but i’ll probably get it pierced again one day

the only piercing I’ll get outside of my ear is my belly .

I have my anti eyebrow done with a curved barbell. Its doing well ATM and been in for over a year. I absolutely love it.

I currently have 4 anti eyebrow piercings with curve barbells I also have 4 belly piercings a vertical industrial upper conch to lower conch and double tragus one side, in total in less than 4 months 34 piercings and no infections no rejection no issues so maybe these guys are knowledgeable but knowledge doesn't make up for personal experience or first hand experience of the piercings.

I can only say ouch....

I’ve had my snake eyes tongue ring for 5 years. I had a dope ass piercer so I’d say just research your piercers before getting it. It had great reviews and I was his first to do that piercing. He waited til he was finished to tell me 😂 my teeth are great it doesn’t hurt my teeth at all. The swelling sucked during healing but Tylenol or ibuprofen did the trick. I bit my vertical tongue ring way more even chipped a tooth. Now my hand dermal was stupid but I think if I had done the opposite hand it would have lasted. I do sew in extensions so the thread would get caught sometimes😩

I’m glad there’s a channel like this 😭👏🏾 people get the most random and nonsensical piercings I’ve ever seen 🙄 and now we know it can come damage 😭 people gotta educate themselves

I had the anti eye. It didn’t reject but, I kept hitting it where it wouldn’t heal properly. I have other oral piercings and I’ve never had a problem. I’ve chipped my teeth on cracklings before, but not a piercing. If you take care of them I don’t see this to be true for everyone. But, to each is own. I also have the snake eyes. It’s pushed back where it’s on the surface. No problem with that either.

i had my smiley pierced for a few months, absolutely loved it and it was so cute but eventually decided to take it off bc it did rub against my front teeth and left marks from the jewelry. other than that no problems at all, hardly noticed it after a week or two. i won’t say i regret it and i would definitely get it again

I just pierced my smiley a couple weeks ago and I’m wearing the smallest size horseshoe jewelry. How long before it would wear down on enamel? Or is there any jewelry I can put in to avoid it?

I've had my smiley for over 5 years now and I've had no issues at all. Still go to my dentist appointments and there's never been any damage that's been found. I do, however, have friends who haven't been as lucky as me and their piercings have ripped out/caused damage. So definitely proceed with caution

Actually quiet unsatisfied with what you guys said about smiley. First of, no I’m not a piercer. But I have experience from a professional studio and wish to begin my apprenticeship soon. I have a smiley myself. Pierced 5 years ago, still in shape without any teeth or gum damage. What I have learned you should never have a horseshoe in a smiley. The correct jewelry for a smiley is a BCR with a silicone backside. Nothing else. This is so you don’t do oral damage. Also like many other piercings it is important to inform customers that not all people can have a smiley due to anatomy. It is your job as a piercare to check their frenulum if it is too thin or too short. A person with the ‘right’ anatomy with the right jewelry can have a smiley for many years and may never reject or weigh down.

I have had the smiley piercing for almost 10 years 🎉 I am at the dentist at a regular basis, no problem at all. But I think I am just one of the lucky ones 😆🤩 my boyfriend had the same and it totally ruined his front teeth to the point where it actually made a hole straight through 😮

I have had both of my anti eyes pierced for 10 years.i have always used a curved bar.if I use a straight bar it start to rejects.but you are right about other service piercings.every time I tried my neck or chest it would reject.

Everybody in the comments who already have any of these and have not noticed problems yet, not everyone is the same. It's important to be fully informed about the consequences and make an informed choice about everything in life.

I got snake eyes have had mine for yearssss along with normal tongue ring for 20 years no issues lol now I got a dermal once on my face and it rejected BAD had to have it cut out and I was upset cuz I loved it

just bc youve had one of these shitty piercings (most of which no reputable piercing will do) for a while and you’re okay doesn’t mean it’s safe or a good idea

I agree with what you say about snake eyes piercings but I don’t fully accept that the tongue looses a lot of movement, I’ve had mine for a while and my jewelry is a little smaller than most so I can pretty much use my tongue as normal, I feel it really depends on where the tongue is pierced and the size of the jewelry. Then again everyone’s tongue is different and the size jewelry I have isn’t going to be the case for everyone.

Had snake eyes with no issues, in fact, I had to take it out because of a job and for me, the healing factor was exponential. It closed within several days and I never had any issues or problems with my teeth, my tongue or my oral hygiene during and after my piercing. And I genuinely miss it.

I’ve had a smiley for 5 years. And my dentist says my enamel is super strong to this day. 🤷🏾‍♀️

My sister had hip dermal day for years a and it was so hard to look at 😳not bc I hate dermals but bc they always looked red and sensitive. They always caused issues for her and I finally went with her to get the removed bc they were badly infected and it was crazy to see them get removed. For a couple years she wore them without the top part just a screw coming out her hips. So unsettling to see

I actually have 2 skindiver on the top of my hand near my thumb and they are both completely fine. I have them since 5 years now and they look perfect, no rejecting or other bad stuff ^^ But i have to admit that it can hurt really bad for a few days if they get stucked at clothing or anything else. If u treat them well its not a problem, at least for me :D
