I had a boss in NJ. Military man, served the country, and he was still in active reserves. He got called up during desert storm. I was left as the manager while he was away. I joked that hopefully the place doesn’t collapse with him gone. He sits me down and explains to me that it’s a fragile weak man that hopes people fail in his absence. He goes , “ if I did my job correctly in training you and everybody else, you all will succeed and thrive while I’m away”. That’s been over 25 years ago and I still think of that time and him.

How is it humble? It's just true. When I was at my peak, if it was me (ITF Taekwondo, not that Olympic overly safe stuff) vs a boxer in boxing- I would have been slaughtered. The boxer trying to compete sparring would have had broken ribs. In a no holds bar fight, it would come down to entirely external factors. Sparring isn't real fighting. It has rules, technique, strategy, like a sport.

For such a long, distinguished and demanding career in the world's most elite fighting force, he seemed incredibly humble and friendly in this interview. He manifested exactly what he was saying about being a servant (my paraphrase here) leader of a team of completely supportive members who put the team and mission before themselves and where everyone does not hesitate to accept responsibility for something, even when things go wrong. I'd love to meet him someday. Thanks for an excellent interview, Piers, and thank you Jocko, and God bless you and your family for your heroism and dedication to our nation! Jocko has so many giftings from God in him and that is including a huge humility and dropping of ego and truly being honorable of others and really sticking to what question is asked. I pray that we can in the future have such powerful leaders as he is because his understanding even of the military and what is required and so much more is truly mind-blowing. Thank you Piers also for the respect you sent forth and the many gifting God also has put into you in really caring also for our blessed and loved America. His talk on loss and how to deal with that I've actually never thought about it in that way. That helped me more than anything! As time moves on we need to focus on living the better version of ourselves, and knowing the ones that we lost would truly want the same. Dwelling and feeling sorry for yourselves (that's not what Jocko said), but that's what I'm saying, is not the best of ideas and often times leads you down a rabbit hole you don't want to be down. So that last bit I'm paraphrasing, but that is essentially what I got from that.

@@adilaziz3948 Word Palestine/ Palestinian:- Technical valid invention in the 1970’s before that they was classed as Arabs then used in the common term of Palestine in the 20th century. They were Syria, Lebanese or Egyptian or Jordian NOT Palestinian. “1937 - The Arab leader, Auni Bey Abdul Hadi, told the UN Peel Commission, “There is no such country as Palestine. Palestine is a term the Zionists invented. Palestine is alien to us. Our land was for hundreds of years a part of Syria.” 1946 - Philip Hitti, Princeton’s Arab professor of Middle East history, told the Anglo-American committee of inquiry, “It’s common knowledge there is no such thing as Palestine in history. Syrian dictator:- “You do not represent Palestine as much as we do. Never forget this one point: There is no such thing as a Palestinian people, there is no Palestinian entity, there is only Syria. You are an integral part of the Syrian people, Palestine is an integral part of Syria. Therefore it is we, the Syrian authorities, who are the true representatives of the Palestinian people. [Addressing the Chairman of the Palestine Liberation Organization Yasser Arafat]” So to conclude, the term Palestine/Palestinian was invented in the 20th Century, before that they were just called Arabs with decent from Syria, Lebanon, Egypt or Jordan. This Is further backed up by quotes from Arab Professors/ leaders of Syria and lastly Arab leaders. Connection between Jews and the land of Israel:- There is an undeniable connection between the Jews and the land of Israel:- there are thousands of books from the last 3,000 years showing this, for example the bible shows a strong connection between Jews and Judea. In archaeological digs we find Jewish coins, Jewish texts, and Jewish artefacts. Although there isn’t a single book or archaeological dig that links back to the Palestine people. Roman’s changed the name of the region from judea to Palestina because the Jewish people rebelled (back story to why but too long for insta). This was done to try and disconnect the Jews from the name judea. Jerusalem was always the centre of Jewish life, Muslims turn their back on Jerusalem when they pray toward Mecca and we pray towards Jerusalem. When we get married we always say to never forget Jerusalem. We never stole or used violence to take land in the land of Israel. Challenge for you give me one village that the Jews stole from the Arabs from the 17th century when the Arab caliphate colonized the land of Israel - until 1947 when the Arabs started a war to wipe out the Jews. Although on the other hand I can list Jewish villages that Arabs destroyed before 1948 for example Hebron (research it please). in 1927 a strong earthquake damaged the mosque and during renovation archaeologists analysed the structure they found beams made from cedar of Lebanon and Cyprus dating as far back the ninth century BC around the time of King Solomon who had used those very materials to built the first Jewish temple, the excavations also uncovered a Jewish ritual bath from the second temple and a mosaic believed to be part of a byzantine church most historians agree the jews were here first Fact’s too why it is Jewish land not a story of Muhammed traveling to a mosque that didn’t exist until many years later, for their own political gain.

I absolutely love Jocko!!! He is an amazing warrior, and America was lucky to have him to defend us! Love that he honors Chris Kyle, Mikey Monsoor, Marc Lee, and Ryan Job, among others! He is a hero!

Jocko for president. Seriously, he's rock solid in everything I've ever heard him say. We need more people like him leading the charge.
