It is unfounded. The Russians evacuated children from the war zone which is what you are supposed to do. Most of the population, in the areas where the fighting is taking place are loyal to Russia and are taking Russian citizenship. That is a separate reality from the fact that the invasion itself was against international law. It looks like some of the children got separated for parents who are loyal to Ukraine. Russia is making arrangements to reunite those children with their parents. Most of the children, involved are children of people who have taken Russian citizenship and voted for the occupied areas to join Russia. The invasion may violate the UN charter but any person can apply to any country for citizenship and that country is free to grant it. It is overwhelmingly likely that nearly all the children involve are the children of Russian citizens and were evacuated with the consent of their parents. If the ICC had any value, it would put out arrest warrants for all leaders who invade other countries. That would include Putin, George W. Bush, Tony Blair, Trump and Obama., The crime of aggression is something that should be prosecuted. It is absurd that the ICC is trying to arrest Putin and Russia's head of child services fro evacuating children from a combat zone which is a humanitarian act. The ICC is worse than useless and should be abolished. All it is doing is undermining international diplomacy by destroying diplomatic immunity.

If you are parent, dressing how your son or daughter wishes to dress is just one of the many responsibilities of a parent. Once they grow up, they can dress as they wish. In the Islamic world, man can dress as they wish but woman can’t - and that’s the problem, at least one of the many problems in ideology, because there are actually way bigger problems in Islam than woman rights, believe it or not.

Just to be clear, Piers, we cannot dress whatever we want in the western world. At least, not in the US. A few years back there was a scandal when a Turkish born female fitness model was not allowed on a flight, because she “was not properly dressed”, when she was wearing shorts and shoes and a top. My concern is that women's rights are still not universally recognized, instead, it is used as a tool to promote a " Western agenda". It's not end just about being told what to wear. A women in Iran should listen to her husband by law - A woman can't travel without her husband permission. The law in Iran also doesn't protect women from violence in their family. The fact that there are women in the academy in Iran doesn't mean the Iran regimes treats women ok..

There is a clear reason why this question is important. Its very easy to understand where the intentions lie if one refuses to answer or say no to that question. No reasonable or moral human would refuse to answer, except if they have something to lose or gain. People like you should stop acting like you don’t understand the reasoning behind the question. It serves as the foundation of a dialogue in which a possible breakthrough of views, ideas etc may occur.

It’s such a tired question especially since IDF has erased Gaza. Will you condemn the IDF when the Gazans are not allowed to return to their home, if Israel deports them all over the world. And why doesn’t the IDF attack Quttar where the Hamas leader is? How can you get rid of Hamas if the leader is left alone? Sounds sus to me and everyone else who has a brain.
