Just got out of the theater, easily the best movie I’ve seen all year.

It's the reverse John wick where the pig goes on a killing spree to avenge his murdered owner.

We ALL poke fun at the guy but he's one of the BEST actors ever. I love the movie "Joe", damn good flick.

My theater almost played this movie by accident instead of Space Jam. Maybe this was a sign...

Went in blind, came out satisfied. I honestly thought this would be another weird Nic Cage action movie. Taken or John Wick but with a pig were my exact thoughts. Turns out it's just a really good drama. Kind of a slow burn in the beginning, but I ended up liking it at the end.

Man this was a little painful to watch, I do love ya guys so just being honest. I feel that the beatdown scene was very valuable to the vewiers in learning not only how our character perceives themselves (dserving of punishment) but also the degree he will go to in order to rescue something that he cares about. Also the whole idea of him not "cleaning himself up" kinda ties into the idea that he struggles with wounds in his life that he has not allowed to heal.

Didn’t know this movie existed, although hearing “Huge Explosion” and “Pig” in the same sentence is not what I expected.

just watched it recently. a weird movie and turns out to be a drama, but it's great anyway. the only thing that bothers me is, in the entire movie, he never took a shower.

Pig is a great movie, I literally didn't even know about it until I saw the review. And I am glad I did, because it is one of the best dramas I've watched in recently.

I can never tell if you are serious when you say "we hangout all the time". The idea you hangout with Nicholas Cage blows my mind.

Say what you want about cage but the guy can act and he's never boring

I went to this based on Chris Stuckman's review where he's really just recommending movies that should be noticed and seen. It's a wonderful character study and drama and I was entertained throughout. There were some scenes where the camera work was a bit too shakey, when I thought they should be able to hold the camera still, but aside from that, if you want to see great performances and cinematography, see PIG.

You should have Cage as a guest on the show sometime.

I literally went out and found a local art house theatre to watch this only hours after your review, very good, definitely recommend, literally clapped at the end and was one of the few who did. Keep it up Joe.

This film was absolutely incredible and maybe the best I've scene in a decade. It penetrates the psyche like Lost In Translation or Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. It was so damn honest and made me feel alive again. It also hurt.

I haven't been watching movies except the mainstream one because of the decline, but then I decided to go back and add this one to the list, it brought tears to my eyes that people still makes some good stuff

I watched this with my younger brother and sister and we all were kind of in the same opinion area as you guys, my opinion is it's pretty good, kind of sad but also beautifully shot but some of the dialogue was a bit mumbly, and we were expecting a bit more action after that underground fight club scene.. That didn't pay off and so it was a bit of a letdown when you get to the end when u know what turns to be the case.

I was at work when i first saw that title and thumbnail. I busted out laughing. Not because of Joe, but because the poster of Nicholas Cage in the background

I watched it today and damn! Nic Cage can won Oscar for this film.

Have seen it yesterday with a friend and loved it. Semi-Spoiler: It's interesting how you 're having trouble understanding (?) the underground fighting thing. As I saw it, it's basically a punching bag auction. -You can sign up your name for getting punched for 30 seconds. -People offer money to punch you. (Putting down money) -The one that offers the most money gets to do it ! Weather you remain standing or not makes no difference. But after it's done, you get a cut of the money (yay) the rest goes to the organizer. In this scene, the famous cook wrote down his recognizable name. And there are many other restaurant owners that were just drooling to punch a rival/famous/legendary chef because jealousy. ( Imagine being a bitter restaurant owner getting to punch Gordon Ramsey or getting to punch a famous youtuber you hate lol , I think that's the idea here ) (btw how much would you pay to punch one of the Paul brothers for 30 seconds?) And afterwards, instead of taking his cut, the famous cook wants the pig information from the organizer, who apparently knows about everything that goes on in the business.

Had you not done this review I wouldn't have known this movie even existed.

Was really hoping that during the hobo fight club scene that's when The rage Cage came out. But like they pointed out it was John wick but with food. They allowed the culinary arts to take over instead of martial arts! Maybe it was a character piece showing that he's a culinary chef not some badass assassin Marksman!

I went in expecting John Wick/ Taken, I was surprised. Not at NC's acting but at what the movie unfolded to be. There's a tension to the emotions throughout.

They filmed at the butcher shop across the street from my work. I wanted to go say hi to Nicholas Cage so bad but they had everything blocked off and didn't want to bug anyone.

I watched this last night expecting a batshit insane John wick alike, the entire time I thought something crazy was going to happen, but it never does...It's like john Wick if John Wick was a pacifist. The most batshit insane thing about this movie is that it didn't go all batshit insane while having such a "unique" backstory...but it's still Nic Cage being Nic Cage.

You missed a key point when he talked about the earthquakes, volcano's and tsunami's, no bridges to other cities which I guess caused a food shortage and made chefs the hottest commodity and foraging very important. Its one of my favorite films in the last year, Alex Wolff is really underrated actor, everything he has done is great.

the fight club sequence imo was about cage's character transformation over the years when he was talking with the dad after the dad told him get the f@ck out of my house he told him were you always like this or only after she died which is a hint that cage probably went on rage mode and probably alcohol phase after his own wife died and this is where the fight club thing come from he was probably one of the ppl who used to punch ppl in that place to blow off some steam but over the years he calmed down he went hermit mode in the forest and that's why he is not confronting anyone because he already saw what happen when you lose it

It reminded me a lot like Mandy. The trailers for both of these movies make them look they are going to be these suspenseful/ thriller movies and they are quite the opposite. I liked the movie but felt like it dragged in certain areas. 7/10

My interpretation of underground "fight" scene was that this guys were not beating up random homeless people but it is meant to be a fixed matches were you beating up people you hold grudge against. I think old chefs who their names command respect yet have alot of enemies draw massive crowd of a people that want to see them beat up and willing to pay big bucks for it. We already know Nick's character was at least bit of dick and probably fired a lot of stuff for simple mess ups like the chef who burnt the pasta. The way the camera lingers and the aggression of the guy who was willing to be him up to death was a clear indication that he wrong that guy in one or another in his previous life. Or at least it is the way I interpreted it.

I loved this movie, my wife however did not.

Pig was worth the watch, especially since I'm a Caged Nick fan. I'm happy seeing him play in weirder movies and also serious ones.

just watched the movie and really enjoyed it even tho Cage was more tamed in this one.
