Chinese and english recipe/ instructions below :
材料.
1. 1, 100 克 = 38,8 oz, 老薑
2. 1 茶匙油
3. 1/3 茶匙鹽
4. 4 枝 600 克 = 21,16 oz 一枝要 4 枝, 八珍甜醋
5. 200 ml = 6, 763 fl oz, 黑醋( 是酸醋)
6. 一隻豬手或豬脚
豬手或豬脚出水
1. 一煲水煮滚夠蓋豬手脚面
2. 3 片薑
3. 4 茶匙紹興酒
煮蛋
1. 5 隻雞蛋
2. 1 茶匙鹽
註: 薑, 豬手脚, 蛋隨您喜歡可加多些但要醋遮蓋面
Ingredients.
1. 1, 100 grams = 38. 8 oz, old ginger
2. 1 tsp oil
3. 1/3 tsp salt
4. 4 bottles of 600 grams = 21.16 oz each, Pat chun sweetened vinegar
5. 200 ml = 6,763 fl oz, black vinegar ( sour vinegar)
6. one pig front leg or black leg
water boil for pig trotter
1. boils water, enough cover the pig trotter
2. 3 slices ginger
3. 4 tsp shaoxing wine
cook egg
1. 5 eggs
2. 1 tsp salt
Note: ginger, pig trotter, eggs to your preference amount, as long as enough vinegar can covered the surface

Thanks Maria. It is a MUST for all confinement ladies, remove "wind ", strengthen bones! I keep the skin of the ginger, it's good to our body ! I cooked the Hakka way, did't wipe dry all ing.but used sesame oil to fry the crushed ginger then pig trotter then add in the 2 bottles each sweetened vinegar and water. I boiled my eggs (stand up)in rice cooker with 1/3 cup water stand 15 min. Add in eggs,slt crushed the shell in vinegar.I cook & eat the same day. Remove egg shell the next meal.

Dear friends todays video is about pig trotter in vinegar with ginger. This is a very traditional dish in cantonese cuisine and can also be found at yum cha. People say it is good for confinement and that is has even more positive effects for your health. I hope you will like the video and please tell me how you liked the taste. Yours Maria ^^

In France a pigs trotter is a true delicacy. It seems that one french way is to stuff it with morels. I guess your way is also very aromatic with all that ginger. Looks excellent to me, i wish i could eat it now. Thanks for making this video

It's my favorite dish. Lunch friends said easy to cook. Just google to get the recipe. There're so many and Maria, yours is the best. I follow your cooking method, use the recommended vinegar and add brown sugar - gula Melaka to reduce the sour taste. It turn up perfect to my taste and now I can have my favorite dish anytime. It's all thanks to you. I'm now a big fan of Wantanmien. Please continue with more dishes especially CNY festive dish.

It worked great! have done it twice in the last few weeks, I cook three times the amount cause I had a to bring a dish for a party I was going too, all my friends there were from Hong Kong and they loved it, it was all gone within an hour. I told them to look at your videos caused they asked where I got the recipe from.

My grandpa usually slices the ginger - less spicy too eat! He makes it like you except he doesn't add the regular black vinegar

Love this. Spreading it out to three days really help the flavors set in and overcook the ginger and the pork. Nostalgic, since this was my dad's favorite dish. Can't wait to make it for him and surprise him. Thank You!!

I wanted to ask and see if I can substitute with tofu to make this without meat. Will this be okay? Also, can you do a video on how to make "law Mai gai" the sticky rice wrapped in leaf with lap chong and filling? Again, thank you and keep up the great videos! I love them!

好吃。做薑剩下的薑皮不要丟棄,可以用來煲薑皮水,給產婦洗澡,而不至於受涼。

My mother made this for me after my pregnancy. I didnt like it at first, but I saw how much effort my mom had put into it and I learned to love it. I'm not really a fan of the pigs feet, but I love the eggs!! Yumm! Thank you for making this video!! Someday I will make this for my loved ones!

Hallo Master Chef.. Terima kasih atas balasan kamu.. Selau daging babi, daging kambong dan daging lembu, selalu saya marinate dengan tepong ubi kayu 5 sudu, 30 minutes ,cici buang tepong marinate dengan air pancur 3 kali, baru bermula masak.. Ok.. Gd job ,Kam Sheah. !

The English translation subtitles are not accurate - it does not make sense. I wish the instructions were more detailed as to how long to cook everything. Only caught glimpses of what the Cantonese language. This is not my dialect & it was hard to follow how to parboil, when to add the items, how long the whole cooking process takes etc.
