Also finally getting a White and Purple Onions is definitely a crazy thing because it actually saves you the grind of going in and out of caves constantly just chucking Pikmin into Candypop buds

I find it quite fitting that the Waterwraith is in the Purple Onion Story. Assuming there are multiple Waterwraiths, they must've figured out that Purple Pikmin can kill them so they tried to destroy the source of the Purple Pikmin to prevent their species from getting wiped out.

The Sage Leaf situation was weird to me too. Sure, he says he's happy, but no telling if he's in the right state of mind even if he's more stable than the average Leafling. Not to mention he might have a home or family that's wondering where he is. Kind of messed up to just leave him that way...

Rescue Log Mission 001 Day 29: Not long after Olimar told me his tale, we discovered a cave next to base camp. I've decided now would be a good time to check it out. Personal notes: When Oatchi and I entered the cave, we were greeted by a strange leafling calling himself the Great Sage Leaf. He's been waiting for me. My Dandori skills will be put to the ultimate test. The Sage was impressed by my skills that he rewarded me with 2 new types of Onions: White and Purple. I better get them back to the surface to fuse them. Day results: I've proven my worth to the Sage. He seems to be happy just the way he is, so I guess they is no need to try and cure him. By the time we returned to the surface, it was already sundown. The Trials were more than worth it, though. The Onion can now propagate any type of Pikmin (except for Glow Pikmin, of course). With all that done, there is only one thing left to do. Tomorrow, I will go after Louie and find that giant dog.

I think the point about the Great Sage Leaf is that *they don't care to remember* anymore. They're perfectly happy as they are now, and have no desire to return to who they once were. You _could_ cure them by force, if you chose to, but that would in all reality be immoral; the person they used to be means nothing to them now, and they've found an inner peace with their existence and way of life. To take that away from them... That's not charitable, that's selfish.

For some reason i think that sage leaf is hawlo referance. Because hawlo is master in pikmin dandori. In pikmin 2 he made EVERY challange on perfect and in pikmin 3 deluxe He made EVERY achievment AND all platinium medals.

I'm sad to see the series coming to an end, but I'm happy that I was here to enjoy it with you!

I severely underestimated how tough the Mystery Cave/Dandori Challenges were going to be- dear GOD i literally finished over half of them with only the last 10 secs to spare if even that- I dont think i even got a single silver medal except for 1 of the 10 floors it was so mind-numbing X_X

Great work! I actually look forward to when Pikmin 4 modding takes off. I can see some modders creating some new, creative caves and challenges like they did with Pikmin 2.

Fantastic work! Boy did I struggle getting a platinum on all these but it was much easier to do once I got full upgrades. Then I watched you do it then as usual felt like a complete amateur, just like with the persona vids. Lol Also I agree about the sage leaf. It just didn't really feel satisfying to just leave him there. Especially since for all we know they probably only wanted to stay there because they were leafified. Then again he really did almost seem like he had a little sense so whatever I guess.

my guess is that the sage was the one who crash landed her for the very first time eons ago and the same person who made the bases

the 1st story was actually the hardest for me. i spent so much time trying to complete that one and got it on the first try for the other ones

Extremely amazingly well done with this part and now entering the Cave, and we encounter the Great Sage Leaf, and now completing his Challenges, and what everyone at Pikmin 2 was waiting for. Something many hoped. it has at last come. the Purple and White Onions, and looks like the Sage is fine with who he is, Though i wonder, It makes you think, Olimar was the first to crash there. But then there is this Sage. Could it be possible, Might be over thinking it, but either way you have the White and Purple Onion now, and it is so beautiful as well, and with all that, now comes the Final Day, and time to finish exploring the Primordial Thicket. Keep doing wonderful.

I just recently completed all 10 of these Dandori challenges and MAN they do not play around. I did them with fully upgraded Oatchi and the captain and it was still not easy. Ofc I got Platinum on all of them, but once I got the hang of each level it was actually pretty easy. Beating these for platinum actually prepared me to go back to Pikmin 3 Deluxe and beat the last few treasure missions I still needed to get platinum on lol.

I like the trial of the sage leaf it is a challenging trial which will test your skill. And I played it to times with platinum on all missions. For me the hardest storey is storey 8 and the easiest are 6 and 7.

You know, during Gimmick Gambit, Shephard recommends using the Survey Drone at the beginning. If you DO choose to use the Survey Drone during the Trials of the Sage Leaf, does the timer freeze like normal, or does it have special behaviour for these challenges?

If you use winged pikmin at the end of "The white key," it is a little faster, or I just somehow did something else faster, but when I used the winged, I got 2:57

I feel a bit upset that the onions are aquired at the end of the game. I get that it is helpful if you complete it before a cave for a king, but otherwise it feels so late in the game it is just like a trophy. It seems to have no real use to me. I hope in future pikmin games if they exist we will get those onions early on in random caves

I hate Dandori. Its such a pain more than mission mode from pikmin 3. Dandori feels impossible because of the shorter time limit. You have to collect things before the time limit ends. I just barely pass for most of them with bronze.

I am creeped out by the fact that we let this elder leafling stay like that. Sure, he seems content and IS conscious of his actions, hes not absorbed by dandori like the others, but has mastered it. Since he is completely conscious, it would be cruel to force the medicine, and yet, we dont know how long he's been here (hes not listed among missing people in our list). For all we know, he could have been heare for hundreds of years. Even if we healed him, the world would be soooo much different that he might never adapt again. Then again, if hes unhappy, just suck him with our onion again and we fixed it lol

I'm not sure if you shown, be told, or know about this, but if you ram into something with your charge and there are Pikmin above, (even if they are falling from above like the candypop buds which you can ram into while it's withering,) the Pikmin will pop out of the ground! (Or sky!)

Really neat we finally get White and Purple onions. Shame they are only available late game, so most people likely wont get a lot of use out of them. But I suppose the fact that they are pretty busted, with purples' attack power and whites' poison effect when digested, it seems only fair. Pinks and rocks, however, I don't see why we can't have those onions earlier. That is a weird choice.

Don't you have one last construction that you left behind? Without it you won't complete the mission of finishing all constructions in the game.

The Sage Leaf Trials just look so challenging and i probably wouldn’t be able to do them properly because I’m never good with those challenges. Kinda why I never got Pikmin 4 in the first place
