been listening to Pinback for the last 10 years...never enough...one of the greatest bands ever...

Why are these two not massively popular? You can see they really put everything into their music unlike most of pop music today.

Pinback is the God Damned Truth. Their songwriting and melodies and rhythm and lyrics show us how rich life can be! We are all heroes, villains, bystanders, creators, surfers, and so much more. I'm just projecting my own personal experience and truth because Pinback has been there for me since I was about 9 or 10, which is now 15 years ago. I saw Rob and Zach on Fuel TV playing 'Good to Sea' on this show called the Daily Habit. For those who don't know, Fuel TV was an extreme sports channel. The Daily Habit was a kind of talk show within that realm that featured live musical performances. The song stuck in my head. Ba ba ba ne ne nana ni ni na ni ni na na ---- Anyways, I forgot the name of the band who played that sick catchy song. A year or two later I found them on youtube. Sure enough Pinback and skateboarding got intertwined in my world. The rest is history. I've rambled enough. One last note - Anticipating prospective concertlessness in the US in the coming months I will take this as my dose of live Pinback for the next year... Or whoever the fuck knows how long. I hope anyone who reads this is feeling good. Peace

I remember finding this video after I said goodbye to my first girlfriend before she headed back to Germany. This song made me sad but hopeful that we would be together again after I made enough money to travel there. This was 10 years ago, I never saw her again and never made it out there. This song was with me when my life went from being a kid into a full fledged adult, what a crazy thing. All things happen for a reason and I am just glad I can still remember that this song helped me a lot. Thanks pinback.

I don't care what anyone says. They really are one of the beat bands out there. :) been a fan a long time now and it's hard to find good bands any,pure but these guys blow my mind. Haven't heard one song I didn't like!!!

Great song by a great band... in the long tradition of sea shanties and train songs. I love this low key version. Look up Blind Willie Skalman's rendition.

best part is "hahh.........Hahh" by mr. robifer crowester. the fact that I'm seeing a green yo-yo on the table blows my consciousness into the sun and beams it back into another brain, that's rad!

It seems like most people don't have the attention span anymore required to really appreciate this type of music.

fair enough haha, but I do pirate music...not all, I buy albums and merch at shows I attend to show support. But I still do merch, I spread the love to many people though and get the name out there, bring many many friends to new shows they we never go to otherwise, in my defense.

not complex ~ their just not overproduced with things such as pro tools. it is the simple, raw aspect of their music keeps them somewhat underground

@shelladanae I discovered both of their side projects and love them!! well most of them.. some are a little bizarre :) but Heavy Vegetable, Thingy, Goblin Cock, System's Officer, and Three Mile Pilot are all great, and you can really what they both bring to Pinback.

@ImSuperKewl Music is art. It looks to most people like some pieces of art have transitioned into something greater, but that's not true. It's always been subjective. The subjectivity gets lost lost in the fact that some musicians try harder, are more creative, have better intentions, etc., but the definition must be kept pure, no matter the quality of your palate. With all that out of the way, I fucking love Pinback.
