2018 has been one of Ping’s best years yet, this is part 2 of a 3 part in depth tour of Pings Headquarters and Factory. The Ping G400 Driver, The G400 SFT, G400 LST, G400 MAX, The Ping Glide Wedges, Ping Milled Wedges - not to mention the Ping i500 Irons, I210 Irons, G400 Irons, G700 Irons and Iblades. With the likes of Lee Westwood, Tyrell Hatton, Miguel Angel Jimenez and Tony Finau all using the clubs with great success.
In this video I take a guided tour around the Ping European Headquaters and Factory at Gainsborough. I get showed the Tour Department where clubs for players on the European Tour are made and also the process where YOUR clubs would be made should you order a set of Ping Golf clubs. How does the factory compare to the Callaway factory, Titleist factory, Taylormade factory

I did a demo day fitting, that's what they do in Australia. Because our distances are too great for players to go to a fitting centre, they send the fitter to different locations. My experience was good and got G sticks, 1/4 deg flat, 1/4 " short, and regular graphite shafts. They were a great improvement on my i10 bats but it's hard to say whether it was better gear or the ten lessons I had before my purchase that dropped the handicap from. As it stands I believe the Gs are still better than I am!

I was a clubmaker back in the day, loved every minute of it. Turning a lump of persimmon into a lovely driver or fairway wood was a skill. Up to my ankles in sawdust and shavings, the Ping environment is sterile in comparison. Ping are a great company, looks after customers and employees, I've bought Ping products for many years.

Went to California last year and had a trip round the Ping factory in Phoenix booked. Missed out because of the fires and had to come home early as we were due to fly out of San Francisco. Gutted so thank you James for this treat ! 👍

Nice to see a lot of my old work mates around the factory, including Deano! (Only Ping staff watching this will know who I mean ;-) ). They have done a fantastic job with the refit too.

I did the factory tour many years back when got my ping I 3 irons. . They used to dont he static fitting in the factory, then send you over to Gainsborough golf club with 3 x 6 irons with different shafts. The pro would watch you hit them and make small adjustments. Great experience.

I have to say I'm finding this ever so interesting, Ping is such a premium product and now we can see why. Its a pity that some of the products are not up to scratch are scrapped, I like Paul Dummett's idea as it be a good gesture on the part of Ping.

Wow great to see how it all works did you see any umpa lumpas anywhere James 😁 was a bit surprised the staff weren't all in Ping clothing ! Agree with the comments about using the rejects for golf foundations or similar projects rather than scrapping them Keep up the great work James 👍

Where is the foundry? I was foundry foreman at Fansteel in ca when I was 19. I was even tasked with pouring all the specials since investment casting was being developed by me being the best they had. Many times I pulled my own casting out of the ovens myself just cause I knew I was faster, knew where and how I wanted it placed for the best pour. Time was critical. I started grinding the heads, sanding, polishing, right to the foundry. Working hard to put younger brother through school. I had quit and went back for diplomav2 years later just to keep my mom happy. This was the 70s in Newbury Park. Calif. Hippee

Lie adjustment for irons manufactured to a standard default value was of specific interest to me. Fitted irons i have are silver dot. Does standard default value apply to ping crossover irons? Bought second hand one a which is red dot.

Have a word with Ping rather than scrapping clubs with minor errors why don't they have a scheme for disadvantaged kids/adults whereby they can use the club's or donate to charity??

Great video... shame my experience of Ping hasn’t been this positive. Stained 9 iron shaft after waiting 3 weeks for my custom fit irons, and additional 2 weeks wait for the shaft to be changed. Have to say have been very disappointed with the service from start to finish. Fitting was fantastic, but lead times, build quality and false promises of delivery times have let them down. Such a shame.
