I also think it would be interesting to see a separate segment about what arts were actually used to protect. Caravan escort martial arts styles used on bandits and Village styles used to repel brigands and pirates. Good to see you traveling and teaching Will.💯💪🏾🙏🏾🥋

There was a great photo in one of those agencies, from the 1920s I guess, of a guard standing beside his horse, armed with a broadsword, a rifle, and with a pistol stuck in his belt - totally pragmatic!

Haven't yet, but I wouldn't call Choy Lee Fut a modern style - its well over 100 years old

I remember mentioned you trained taijiquan for awhile but it wasn't for you. If I remember correctly, you didn't see how it made sense. From a chen style guy, you already have good movement. I think if you went to chen yu or someone in beijing, you'd find it makes a lot more sense now than before you trained mantis. Now if I got a $1 for every time I hear armed escort
